Guest guest
Hi and Welcome, I am Hypopituitary and need to treat all my hormones like your self. I am going to tell you up front Endo's I don't like them for this problem I have seen 7 in my life and not one was good. I have been helping men with low Testosterone and Pituitary Problems for yrs only just in the last 2 months had men post to me they are seeing a good Endo. My first question to you is did your Dr.'s ever test your Estradiol levels on TRT if not this might be why you did not feel right on shots. And most people with our problem have Thyroid problems and gels and creams don't work can't get through the skin to get levels up but as you do more and more your Estrdiol levels will shoot way up. Now your on Pellets 10 of them how many mgs. if they are 75 mgs this is not enough. I need for my body about 1500 mgs to last me 3 months. I can't find a Dr. that is up on this that will do this so I don't use them and the cost my GOD they are not made from Gold. When I first tried them my cost was $1500 the first time they lasted a month my levels feel big time because I only had eight 75mg. pellets put in. So the Dr. put 4 more in after 30 days for $500 more. This lasted about 3 weeks and what did this dam Dr. do offer me Anti Depressant meds. Today I do shots every 3 days this keeps me leveled holds down Estradiol levels and helps keep my blood thinner. I also do HCG this keeps my Testis working and all the LH cells in my body and brain. I do 250 IU's every 3 days the day before my Test C shot. Men with high levels of Estradiol on TRT have ED, feel like crap, even have Panic Attacks in the middle of the night. They get BPH, Can't reach an orgasm, have sore and hard nipples, feel hot and sweat a lot and look red on there upper body and face. Do get this tested if it's high get it down with some arimidex. When I found out I am Hypopituitary after being told I am Primary for 23 yrs and started to treat all my hormones I started feeling better. Go to this forum is is closed to posting but full of dam good info about your problem. http://forums.realthyroidhelp.com/viewforum.php?f=12 and when you go there read the FAQ's. http://forums.realthyroidhelp.com/viewtopic.php?f=12 & t=256 This one is about Adrenals and HC meds. I helped make this it's full of all the things one needs to know about HC. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adrenal-info/faq/ Co-Moderator Phil > From: ttrr93 <hank.pace@...> > Subject: Still Low T Results - any insight appreciated > > Date: Tuesday, July 27, 2010, 3:56 PM > Hey all I'm new to the group and > looking for some answers or insight. > > I was diagnosed with pituitary tumor in 1988 - I am > hypo-everything. Guest guest
Phil, do I really need HCG when I'm on TRT? I have no idea what HCG is, even! I've had a few panic attacks lately, while driving my car! Maybe it's because estradiol is getting higher? Also, blood is getting thicker. Hematocrit is between 50 and 55 now. GP says anything below 58 is good. 58 is the blood-thinner treatment limit, in his words. Can I be a hypopituitary (is that also called Hypogonadism btw? consider me a newbie!) if my TSH shoots up from 0.2 to 1.3 in just 2 days when quitting ERFA Thyroid for 2 days like I did 2 weeks ago? Can I be that with a TSH working that good? Today I do shots every 3 days this keeps me leveled holds down Estradiol levels and helps keep my blood thinner. I also do HCG this keeps my Testis working and all the LH cells in my body and brain. Guest guest
, HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) works to keep your testis working on TRT. Adding Testosterone meds mimic the body's natural testosterone, trigger the hypothalamus to shut down its production of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) from the hypothalamus. Without GnRH, the pituitary gland stops releasing luteinizing hormone (LH). LH normally travels from the pituitary via the blood stream to the testes, where it triggers the production and release of testosterone. Without LH, the testes shut down their production of testosterone.[20] In males, hCG helps restore and maintain testosterone production in the testes by mimicking LH and triggering the production and release of testosterone. When my Estradiol levels get to high I have Panic Attacks all day and night. When this happens to me I can take a .5 mg of Arimidex and stop this in 30 min.'s. My Hematocrit is right now 54 it's all ways between 50 to 55 if I don't drink enough water that day before and the morning of my test it comes back higher. I take a baby aspirin 2x's a day and do my shots of Test C every 3 days to help keep this down and my Estradiol levels. If I do shots every week the bigger shot converts into Estradiol faster. Men that are Secondary meaning there Pituitary dose not tell there Testis to make Testosterone are said to be Hypopituitary this can be from a tumor of head injury. Men that are Primary meaning there testis don't work. If you stopped ERFA you brain will see your levels of Thyroid going down and send TSH a message from your Brain that tells your Thyroid to make more hormone. Why would you stop ERFA for 2 days before doing labs. All one needs to do is not take there Thyroid meds the morning of there labs take it after them. I was told I am Primary for 23 yrs. until I got my Dr. to let me use HCG. I added HCG 500 IU's 3x's a weeks for 15 shots to my Test C shot of 150 mgs. a week. When I did my labs on this my Total T went from 600 to 1200 so I am not Primary my Testis work. We then did a MRI on my Pituitary and it was good no tumor. But before I got sick 29 yrs ago I had a bad auto accident and had a head injury. So I am Hypopituitary due to a head injury. Guest guest
Phil, thanks for the info. Those website have a lot of info and a little overwhelming. I have been to stopthyroidmadness before. I think I have a pretty good endo now, at least I think. He is open to my suggestions and testing and has spent more time with me than the endo in Houston ever did over the past 20 years. I looked over my test results over the years and I have never tested on the Estradiol level. I have never had a problem with ED though, but I will ask about this level. I couldn't find notation of the mg of the pellets but I believe they are 75mg. The cost is 100% covered by my insurance thank God! Not sure if my endo will be up to doing 1500mg or not. Guess my only option now is to wait for the 4 month blood test to see what my levels are then. If I can wait. Then see what the doc says. Is there anything else like supplements or foods that could be interferring with my meds? Just trying to think of every possibility. I know that I could feel better because I feel awesome on about 50mg of hydrocortisone a day but I know that's not good to stay on. I was on that high dose trying to get over allergy sickness. I'm realizing that I haven't been complaining enough to my endo(s) because they have always said T level of 250-300 was normal. Well I know now that I should be at least above 500. Any other ideas? I appreciate the help! Thanks, Hank > > > From: ttrr93 <hank.pace@...> > > Subject: Still Low T Results - any insight appreciated > > > > Date: Tuesday, July 27, 2010, 3:56 PM > > Hey all I'm new to the group and > > looking for some answers or insight. > > > > I was diagnosed with pituitary tumor in 1988 - I am > > hypo-everything. Guest guest
Yes test your Cortisol levels doing a 4x's in a day saliva test to see how your rhythm looks you need to be at the high end of the range in the morning going down by bedtime. They have links to were you can buy this your self at STTM site. And in this link. http://livingnetwork.co.za/hormones/adrenal-fatigue/ Also check your Thyroid read the link in the above link. Make sure when you do this test that your off any kind of HC meds or Cortisol glands for 2 weeks before doing this test. The 1500 mgs of Pellets would be about the top dose one would do. But to give you 10 pellets and tell you to come back and do labs in 4 months makes me wonder how many men he treats with Pellets most men getting 1500 mgs don't last 3 months. If you feel your self falling back or feel bad call him get some labs don't suffer for months. I tell men they need to get there Testosterone levels up onto the upper 1/3 of there labs range and to keep there Estradiol levels down to about 20 pg/ml this works the best for most men. I first read this in a LEF article here is a link. http://www.griffinmedical.com/male_hormone_modulation_therapy.html One thing you can take to help keep your testis healthy is Zinc men don't get Zinc from the corn fed meat we eat and most of us are low on it. And this helps keep Estradiol levels down. Zinc will lower ones Copper levels so for every 50 mgs of Zinc one takes they should take 2 mgs of Copper. I get Zinc and Copper in my Muti-Vit. and take ZMA for added Zinc at bedtime and I add 2 mgs of Copper at noon.
