Thanks Antanas. I agree with you except he is probably one of the best HRT

docs in the world and I have already spent a lot of money with him and I

can't afford to fly out to see another doc. For some reason though, he just

doesn't want to treat everything that is going on with me, nor listen to

what I am saying is going on with me. Could be ego, maybe?

I've got to do something though because what he is doing is not working. I

came to him because I am a difficult case and I was under the impression

that he specializes in difficult cases. Maybe I was wrong....?

He is dam good and your not feeling well this happens you start to think the Dr.

is not helping or listening to you. I have done this with my Dr. many times he

tells me to make a list of things I feel I need to go over with him. He then

says after a few days reread the list and take things off the list that are not

that important.

I find this works very well he sits there reads the list and tells me why or how

he feels about it. I sit there and keep my mouth shut and let him talk.

Doing this we both do better because when we feel very sick and are upset we

don't listen and understand what is being said. I would interrupt my Dr. and he

would lose track on what he was trying to tell me.

I learned this in Therapy when they thought my health problems we from

Depression. Try this it works.

Thanks Phil. I'll try that and see how it goes.

I really just don't know what to do though. I was on a high level of T3,

and that was the best I have felt in years neurologically, but my body just

couldn't take it anymore. I feel like there is something I'm missing that

is preventing me from getting the full benefit from thryoid and testosterone

treatment. I'm on a crap load of iron and vitamin D, so it can't be that.

I'm also on sea salt and potassium, so it can't be that. I'm also on 30 mg

of HC, so it can't be that. I just don't know what it is, and the only

thing I am not on is florinef but Dr. M won't treat me with it. I may have

to just convince my PCP to put me on it and see what happens.

I am still having problems getting on an AI too. The forma stenzol looks

great, but I don't know what it will do to me long term and it sounds too

good to be true. I also don't trust body builders who say it is a miracle

cure for E2 and that it is safe long term because anyone who knowingly puts

steroids into his body at high levels obviously doesn't respect his body.

So I have no idea if they are just saying that b/c they don't care about the

long term consequences or if it is legitimately safe. Plus, the guy who is

doing the most campaigning for it is selling it. So, I don't know if I can

trust his intentions when he gives me advice on its safety.

So, I am just at a loss for what to do. My PCP suggested getting off of

everything and allowing Dr. M to treat me as if I were a new patient. I'm

considering it but I think it would take me months to get back to the

baseline I'm at now. I don't know.

But thanks for your advice, Phil.

How are your Folic Acid and B-12 levels with your Iron labs. I tested below

normal for Folic Acid blood labs taking it. Turns out the Folic Acid does not

convert into folate. So my Dr. told me to take this.

http://www.amazon.com/Thorne-Research-Folacal-60/dp/B000FGWCIW

Now my levels are up and my iron levels went up and I added to this B-12 this is

what I take.

B-12 (Brain) Methylcobalamin - 5000 mcg lozenges. 3x’s/week.

Also with my Iron I take Vit. C this.

http://www.myvitanet.com/supbiocbuf36.html

I need to space this out so I am not taking it with Thyroid meds.

====================================================

Product Description

Administration of folinic acid bypasses the deconjugation and reduction steps

required of folic acid to become this bioactive form of folate. Folinic acid is

a more metabolically active form of folate, capable of boosting levels of the

coenzyme forms of the vitamin in circumstances where folic acid has little to no

effect. Another benefit of folinic acid is that it is the folate intermediary

responsible for proper DNA and RNA synthesis. Thorne supplies 800 mcg of folinic

acid in each capsule of Folacal.

Not sure about folic acid but B12 is in the 2000's (I take it IM twice a

week).

I also take Iron with Vit C and don't take it with thyroid meds.

I just checked and my vit D levels are actually low. Weird because I've been

taking huge amounts for a year and my levels are still low. Hmmm?

Yes, my digestion is definitely screwed but I'm not sure what to do about it

though. Maybe I should visit that and see what I can come up with. Thanks.

Good points mbom123,

Here is what my Dr. dose to tell if I am on too much HC meds. He has me take my

morning dose of HC 10 mgs at about 6am I go in at 8 am and do labs fasting for

TRT and he check Cortisol levels. As long as I show a level this tells him my

Adreanls are still working not shut down (Cushing's symptoms). My labs come

back between 9 to 12 if the were say 3 or less he would have me cut back on my

dose of HC meds.

Barb,

I think the thing to realize, as you have eluded to in earlier emails, is

that no one treatment fits all. Some can do just fine on T3 only but I

think that Val and the gang get into trouble when they try to fit everyone

into that box. Which is funny because that is exactly what docs do.... So, I

think that Dr. M is just expanding his practice to include T3 only treatment

for those who really need it. I agree with you about the brain and T4

because I think I am one of those people who's brain needs T4. I do have

confidence in Dr. M, I just think that he is probably just a frustrated with

this as I am and maybe that is coming out in our appointments.

Phil,

Thanks for the link to the D3. I'll definitely look into that. And, I'll

also talk to HAN to see if he thinks he can help me or not.

Thanks again,

Mike
