Guest guest
Hi naeem and Welcome, Where do you live if your in the UK seeing an Endo is all you have for TRT. But if you live in the USA stop seeing Endo's find a Dr. that treats a lot of men for low Testosterone. We don't do big shots like that every 2 weeks it very old and does not work very good. Once you start on Test E shots your wasting your time checking LH and FSH this gets shut down on TRT and your levels will start to get very low. Your brain sees the Test in your blood and slows down sending the LH and FSH messages to your testis and they stop making Test. Your problems with your erectile dysfunction might be very high levels of Estradiol you need to check this and if it's high above 20 pg/ml or 75 pmol/l in the UK you need to get this down. This when high will kill your penis and sex life. Doing shots 250mgs every 2 weeks this big shot will convert into Estradiol. This is why we do shot every week starting at 100 mgs / week some of us to them 2x's/ wk even every 3 days. And to keep your testis working we add in HCG doing 250 IU's the 2 days each before the next Test E or C shot. This acts like LH and keeps your testis work helps keep your libido up and keeps you leveled. Try to get your levels for Total T up into the upper 1/3 of your labs range or when you feel your best witch ever comes first. Get the book " Testosterone: A Man's Guide " you will learn what took me 30 yrs on TRT did all in this book. http://tinyurl.com/6k2utdu Co-Moderator Phil > From: naeem jan <naeemjan1981@...> > Subject: Can TRT help me in my low testosterone problem > > Date: Thursday, April 7, 2011, 6:19 PM > Dear All, > I am 29 & Unmarried, facing erectile dysfunction since > age of 22. i have beeen diagnosed with low testosterone (188 > ng/dl), recently consulted with an ENDocrinologist who > suggected me to inject testoviron 250mg twice a month (TRT) > (Now i have taken 02 injections). Guest guest
Naeem, I can't say whether TRT would help. But there would probably be no harm in trying it for 2-3 months, anyway--IF and only IF your PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) reading is " normal. " While there's no proof that TRT can give you prostate cancer, the great majority of doctors seem to believe that, if there are any cancer cells already present in your prostate, TRT can make them grow and produce a serious threat. There's no single, universally agreed number for what a " normal " PSA is. The younger you are, the lower it should be--generally in a range of,say, 3.5--4.5. (PSA tests are far from perfect, incidentally--and researchers are trying to find a test that is more reliable, with fewer false positives or false negatives. Meanwhile, it's the best test we have.) Good luck, ________________________________________________________________________________\ _______ > > Dear All, > I am 29 & Unmarried, facing erectile dysfunction since age of 22. i have beeen diagnosed with low testosterone (188 ng/dl), recently consulted with an ENDocrinologist who suggected me to inject testoviron 250mg twice a month (TRT) (Now i have taken 02 injections). Guest guest
Hi Philip,  Thanks for your early and detailed response. i live in pakistan and as i feel here Endocrin are best option for TRT.  now i still have some questions in my mind, as i have already mentioned that i am unmarried also i have no sex experience. is this may be a reason for decreasing testosterone levels?  One thing that i want to know about TRT, if it is a one time activity or one has to take it after a fixed interval of time (eg. once in a year).  for example a diabatic patient has to take insulin daily?  Besides TRT i want to figure out the actual reason of my problem (Decreasing testo levels and ED). Did u think that it may be a result of low Zinc level and i should take a laboratory test for Zinc?  Naeem > From: naeem jan <naeemjan1981@...> > Subject: Can TRT help me in my low testosterone problem > > Date: Thursday, April 7, 2011, 6:19 PM > Dear All, > I am 29 & Unmarried, facing erectile dysfunction since > age of 22. i have beeen diagnosed with low testosterone (188 > ng/dl), recently consulted with an ENDocrinologist who > suggected me to inject testoviron 250mg twice a month (TRT) > (Now i have taken 02 injections). Guest guest
naeem, There are many things that cause low Testosterone in men. The two main cause's are being Primary meaning your Testis don't work. On labs you would have very low Total Testosterone in the USA the range is 250 - 1100 ng/dl. Anything under 400 needs to be looked at. If your Total Testosterone is say 300 with a LH and FSH at the high end of the range this is the message sent to your testis that tells them to make more Testosterone. So if your low and your LH and FSH is very high it's your brain seeing your levels very low and asking for more Testosterone by sending a lot of LH and FSH. If your labs look like this you need to see a Uro Dr. and have your Testis checked if there is no cancer or infection they just don't work. And you would need to be on TRT for life. Most men with this problem still can make a baby so it's best to have your sperm tested if it's good before going on TRT have some frozen for a back up. Now if your Total Testosterone is low and your Estradiol is good say 20 pg/ml and your LH and FSH is low this means your Pituitary is not working right here in the USA we get an MRI on it looking for a tumor. If no tumor shows up it can be from a head injury even an old one. Men with this problem need to have all there hormones checked Testosterone,Cortisol, Thyroid, Growth Hormones and Ferritin. Your Pituitary might not be tell your body to make enough of any of them. Now if you test low for Total Testosterone and have a low LH and FSH with very high levels of Estradiol this can be why your Total Testosterone is low. Your body makes Estradiol from Testosterone and can't tell the difference. So when your brain sees high levels of Estraidol in your blood it thinks it's Testosterone and slows down sending the LH and FSH messages to your testis and you end up low. Getting the Estraidol levels down your Total Testosterone levels will come back up. A lot of Dr.'s testing see this low Total Testosterone with low LH and FSH not testing Estraidol and think you have a Pituitary problem. Now for other things that lower a mens Total Testosterone over doing it exercising in the gym and poor diet will lower your levels. Eating to much SOY some men will drink a lot of SOY Milk your brain sees a marker from SOY that is not working but looks like high Estraidol and end up with low Total Testosterone. All they need to do is stop drinking so much SOY Milk. A fatty liver, can do this to much stress in your life, low Thyroid with low Cortisol levels can add to lowering Total Testosterone the list is very long. So it's about seeing a good Dr. and testing all this. Here is a list I tell men to get that have low Total Testosterone or loss of sex life and no not having sex will not lower your Total Testosterone. Zinc is good we all need it in the USA but where you live you might get enough of it. Zinc helps keep Estraidol levels down in men. =================================================== If you have lost your libido, have ED, feel fatigued, have brain fog, have feelings of Depression just don't feel your self then do get these labs. You need a full panel of labs done and then see what you need to treat. Also read this site. This is taken from Dr. 's site at www.allthingsmale.com in TRT: A Recipe for Success. • Total Testosterone • Bioavailable Testosterone (AKA " Free and Loosely Bound " ) • Free Testosterone (if Bioavailable T is unavailable) • DHT • Estradiol (specify the Extraction Method, or " sensitive " assay for males) • LH • FSH • Prolactin • Cortisol first do this test in blood a morning fasting test if your low below 15 then do a saliva test. • Thyroid Panel doing the following labs. * TSH But this lab is only for diagnosis of hypopituitary, NOT to diagnose or dose your hypo by. * Free T4 and Free T3 (note the word “freeâ€) * Thyroid Antibodies (anti-TPO and TgAb. YOU NEED BOTH.) * Ferritin (and do stress FERRITIN, not just RBC) * Adrenals Cortisol levels (but we strongly recommend saliva tests, not the one time blood test your doctor will do. See below, because you don’t need a prescription) * B-12, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA * Reverse T3 • CBC • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel • Lipid Profile • PSA (if over 40) If your Dr. will not run these tests the find one that will. Here is a good link to read about all this. http://www.griffinmedical.com/male_hormone_modulation_therapy.html Just remember I am not a Dr. just a man that has been on TRT over 30 of them 30 it took me 23 yrs to figure out why I have low Testosterone. Guest guest
Philip,  I am feeling relaxed now as i am not as blind as i was before conversation with u.  Now my lab results are, Testosterone                          188.90 ng/dl Serum TSH                            2.37 uIU/ml Serum LH                              3.34 mIU/ml Serum Prolactin                      5.76 ng/ml F. Glucose                              94 mg/dl  My next meeting with my doctor is scheduled after two weeks with some more lab results (FSH, FT4, Cortisol & another Testosterone test after two weeks of 2nd testoviron shot). Now what I am thinking is, also have a lab test of Estradiol and if it is on higher side I will talk to my doctor.  I want to ask u that, 1.        I have taken second shot of Testoviron 250 mg 3 days before so, if it is better for Estradiol test so early or after two weeks? 2.        The methodology for Estradiol test in a well known laboratory here is MEIA (given on their website), is it ok or i must search for methods suggested by you i.e. Extraction method or “sensitive†assay for males?  You r not a Doctor but your experience and knowledge will be very helpful for me.  Thanks a lot,  Naeem > > > From: naeem jan <naeemjan1981@...> > > Subject: Can TRT help me in my low > testosterone problem > > > > Date: Thursday, April 7, 2011, 6:19 PM > > Dear All, > > I am 29 & Unmarried, facing erectile dysfunction > since > > age of 22. i have beeen diagnosed with low > testosterone (188 > > ng/dl), recently consulted with an ENDocrinologist > who > > suggected me to inject testoviron 250mg twice a month > (TRT) > > (Now i have taken 02 injections). Guest guest
Naeem, I am happy your more relaxed about this it helps to keep your stress levels down you will feel much better. As for Estraidol I feel any womens test is good because your looking to see how high you are. If your very high and take something to lower it. Then you need an Sensitive Estradiol test to tell if your going to low. My first test was a women's test and it only went down to 20 pg/ml I was above the top of the range. I went on Arimidex to get this down took a long time about 3 months because we were using a very low dose. In time my labs for the women's test showed me at <20 but we did not know how far below 20 I was you can do well at 15 pg/ml is your SHBG is not to high. So this is when the Sensitive test for Estradiol helped it will show you down as low as 7 and this is not good just as bad as being to high. But one big way to tell if your to low is by your involuntary nocturnal erections that appear during REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep. If this stops and you can't get it up in the morning before getting out of bed your to low if your taking something to lower your Estradiol so don't worry about a Sensitive Estradiol test if you can't find one. As for doing your labs if you can aford them yes test your Estradiol now. If this is high it will lower your Total and Free Testosterone levels. If you can't get meds to lower this there are supplements you can buy off the web that will lower them called Indolplex/DIM. http://www.iherb.com/Enzymatic-Therapy-Pure-Rip-with-DIM-60-Tablets/12814?at=0 If you need more info about this let me know. So yes test this now on Estradiol I lost my night time and morning nocturnal erections over 20 yrs ago when I got my Estradiol levels down they came back so strong they woke me up in the middle of the night I was so dam happy to see this I felt like a man again. So yes high Estradiol will mess up your sex life and your libido and getting it down and keeping it down you will get the most out of your T shots and feel much better. Guest guest
That weight gain will make it easy for your body to convert your Testosterone into Estradiol and as your levels go up your penis stops working and looks smaller in the soft state so much so you can't find it. After getting this Estraidol down in the soft state it will go back to normal. It is very hard to lose weight with high Estraidol levels. So I am sure your to high and need to take Indolplex/DIM to get this down. I don't even feel you need labs after telling me this. I have help me all ages get there sex life back one gut was 80 still active with his wife but he needed to us a Penis Pump to pump it up and a penis ring to keep it up. He was on TRT checked his Estariol it was very high he got this down and did not need the pump and ring anymore. So if it worked for him it will work for you read this file I made about DIM. ================================================= ALL ABOUT DIM. Sure here is a few links that are all about it. But there are a lot of Co.'s out there selling DIM that don't work well. Indolplex/DIM is the best it dose not get killed in your stomach when you take it. Diindolylmethane (DIM) is a stable indole found in cruciferous vegetables which promotes a beneficial estrogen metabolism in both women and men. http://www.dimfaq.com/index.htm in this link it's full of links about it. http://qualitycounts.com/fpdim.html http://www.jbc.org/content/278/23/21136.full If you have DIM in caps it's not Indolplex so to take this and to get it to work open the cap pore the DIM into a spoon add some Olive oil and take it this helps to keep it from getting killed in your stomach. The following is some links to where you can buy Indolplex/DIM. http://www.vitaglo.com/e5336.html http://www.vitacost.com/EnzymaticTherapyEstroBalancewithDIM/searchby-PN/searchte\ xt-dim http://www.iherb.com/Enzymatic-Therapy-Pure-Rip-with-DIM-60-Tablets/12814?at=0 http://www.iherb.com/Enzymatic-Therapy-Pure-Rip-with-DIM-60-Tablets/12814?at=0 http://www.estrobalance.net/ http://www.easyhealthzone.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=PP0108 & click=71 http://www.nbizz.com/longevityclinic/listings/213.html http://www.drugnatural.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD & Store_Code=DMOS & Product_\ Code=156497 http://www.smartbomb.com/itindo9.html?utm_source=mercent & utm_medium=shopcompare & \ utm_content=itindo9 & utm_campaign=mbsdb & mr:trackingCode=C6AEFBD1-E681-DE11-B7F3-0\ 019B9C043EB & mr:referralID=NA http://www.ritecare.com/cgi-bin/cart.pl?db=product_db.dat & category=natural+medic\ ine & method=any_words & search=iti-75336 http://www.naturamart.com/phytopharmica-pms-formula-with-indoplex-120-caps.html How to take Indolplex/DIM take one tablet 120 mgs at dinner time it can take 2 weeks to 2 months to get your Estradiol levels down it’s all about how high you are in your levels. What you need to do is get this down to about 20 pg/ml. When you get this low your night time and morning wood will come back so strong it will wake you up this means most of the time your at your best levels or what I call the sweet spot. Keep taking the DIM but if your wood stops your going down to low so just stop taking it. The day your wood comes back go back on the DIM but cut the tablet in half. If your Testosterone was tested and low but your not on TRT get it tested again you might find your levels came up some 200 to 300 points. http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/content/full/89/3/1174 Here is a cut and paste why Dr. feels we need to take TMG with DIM. I have seen several studies which showed that while DIM improves the 2-OHE/16-a-OHE ratio, it also increases the bad 4-OHE. TMG, or its child DMG (although TMG is much better because it has already donated a valuable methyl group by the time it becomes DMG) will help flush the 4-OHE downstream. Taking TMG/DMG is important on its own, even in absence of DIM supplementation. But I would not take DIM without it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------\ --------------------- The following is what Dr. nco says about lowing E2 with DIM and other things. My interpretation of the above articles is that: 1. DIM blocks DHT from binding to androgen-receptors in the Prostate. This is a good thing - it reduces the risk of prostate cancer from testosterone replacement therapy. 2. DIM does not stop the production of DHT. For DIM to do so, it has to inhibit the reductase enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT. The articles do not indicate that this is occurring. In regard to how DIM works, it blocks certain Cytochrome P450 enzymes in the liver which convert Estrogens to more proliferative, cancerous types of estrogens. This forces the liver to use other pathways, which convert estrogens to non-proliferative, safer, and less potent estrogens. Thus, overall estrogen activity is reduced by DIM. Arimidex blocks the aromatase enzyme that converts testosterone to estrogens, thus lowering the production of estrogens and thus lowering estrogen activity. There are other substances which also block the aromatase enzyme - including 6-OXO (an over-the-counter supplement), Aromasin, etc.. Which do you want to use? Either choice is valid. It will depend on the individual's response, how easy it is to control estrogen activity, cost, etc. Other factors: 1. Arimidex is by prescription and is very expensive. 2. 6-OXO is over-the-counter, but dosing guidelines are not clear. 3. DIM is over-the-counter, is relatively expensive for what you get. There are pitfalls - such as " DIM-complex " - which water down the DIM concentration by adding additives. 4. Broccoli and I3C - both precursors to DIM can be used. But they require you to avoid antacids, needing acidity in the stomach to break them down and create DIM. In any case, you will have to monitor your estrogen levels via blood testing to determine how much of each you want to use. __________________ Any statement I make on this site is for educational purposes only and will change as medical knowledge progresses.
