Guest guest
First can you post your labs about your blood being to thick if your Dehighdrated before doing your labs your blood will look thicker. Or if you have low Aldosterone levels and your body dumps your sodium this can make your blood look thicker I have this problem and I don't give blood. Also if your on Iron pills your blood labs will look thicker. Here are my last set of labs. CBC (Includes Diff/Plt) White Blood Cell Count 6.4 range 3.8 – 10.8 Thousand/uL. Red Blood Cell Count 5.63 range 4.20 – 5.80 Million/uL. Hemoglobin 18.4 high range 13.2 – 17.1 g/dL. Note: high due to Dehydration from low Aldosterone. Hematocrit 54.3 high range 38.5 – 50.0 %. Note: high due to Dehydration from low Aldosterone. MCV 96.5 range 80.0 – 100.0 fL. MCH 32.6 range 27.0 – 33.0 pg. MCHC 33.8 range 32.0 – 36.0 g/dL. RDW 14.3 range 11.0 – 15.0 %. Platelet Count 144 range 140 – 400 Thousand/uL. PV 10.5 range 7.5 – 11.5 fL. Absolute Neutrophils 4813 range 1500 – 7800 cells/uL. Absolute Lymphocytes 1037 range 850 – 3900 cells/ul. Absolute Monocytes 352 range 200 – 950 cells/uL. Absolute Eosinophils 179 range 15 – 500 cells/uL. Absolute Basophils 19 range 0 – 200 cells/uL. Neutrophils75.2 range %. Lymphocytes 16.2 range %. Monocytes 5.5 range %. Eosinophils 2.8 range %. Basophils 0.3 range %. Iron and Total Iron Binding Capacity. Iron, Total 118 range 45 – 170 mcg/dL. Iron, Binding Capacity 326 range 250 – 425 mcg/dL. % Saturation 36 range 20 – 50 % (calc). Ferritin 330 range 20 – 380 ng/mL. Vitamin B12 995 range 200 – 1100 pg/mL. Folate, Serum > 24.0 ng/mL. The Clomid shows your HPTA is not working but I am not sure it means your Testis don't work. You should try HCG to see if they work. To help keep my blood thinner I do my shot every 3 days doing this the shot is smaller and does help to keep blood thinner. I have a hard time seeing your blood to thick only doing 60 mgs / week. http://livingnetwork.co.za/lifestylefunctional-medicine/hormones/adrenal-fatigue\ / ==================================================== Aldosterone is another hormone released from the adrenal cortex. It is a mineralocorticoid, meaning it regulates salt balance, specifically by retaining sodium and secreting potassium. ~ High Aldosterone causes high blood pressure and low potassium. ~ Low Aldosterone levels provide symptoms like low blood pressure, high pulse (especially on standing), salt cravings, dizziness and/or light headedness on standing and palpitations. In severe cases high potassium and low sodium is found in the blood. Low aldosterone induces more renin to be made from the kidney which is why renin is measured with aldosterone. It’s more typical for people with adrenal insufficiency to be low on cortisol but sufficient in aldosterone, but some people will have both. So, the usual recommendation is to start on Hydrocortisone and monitor to see if aldosterone would also be needed, if so Fludrocortisone (synthetic equivalent of aldosterone) commonly traded as Florinef, can be added. Guest guest
No I did not, realized I made a mistake. As a afterthought that would have showed me if i was primary or secondary if the LH was high I would be primary. On no I have to do it over again with terrible side effects splitting headaches I think Ill rather try HCG > > > > > > Hi > > I was diagnosed having secondary hypogonadism about 6 years ago by endo after he saw I had low T , low LH , and low FSH. > > > > I gave myself T shots ,60 mg per week. Guest guest
like me you are hypothalamus hypogonadism....probably idiopathic but hard to say. I had the gnrh stimulation and clomid stimulation test done, both showed enourmous raising of lh levels....t levels took longer due to my testes not being used for a while....endos don't threat me think it should restart on its own. Guest guest
I can't remember how long one needs to be off Clomid to test some hormones maybe Hardasnails can jump in here. I do know you need to be off clomid for some time to test Estraidol. Guest guest
Hi Zorro What were your t levels when you were on 60 mg a week? Had you tried splitting the shot up into two smaller doses through the week? My doctor was saying that once we are on trt for a while some people need to adjust the dose as their bodies have adequate stores of T and he said that the peak level of T after your shot also plays a big role in your hematocrit levels? I hadn't heard this before but I think it makes sense as I was doing 120 mg a week and this was causing high hematocrit levels. I have gone back on TRT at 60 mg a week and have blood test this week so I will keep you posted. My Shbg had been driven low by the amount of T injection I was taking and the free T in My blood was 2.5 times of what it was supposed to be so my doctor now has me restarting at a lower dose. > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi > > > > I was diagnosed having secondary > > hypogonadism about 6 years ago by endo after he saw I > > had low T , low LH , and low FSH. > > > > > > > > I gave myself T shots ,60 mg per week. Guest guest
If this works and your levels are to low try the shot 2x's / week say 50 mgs. each shot. Guest guest
My T levels was in the middle of the normal range was 16 (10 - 27 ) I ll try splitting up the dose 30 mg every 4 days and see if it helps. I did search the internet about high hematocrit from injecting T and all I got was that depo T must be witheld. Now if depo T gets withheld I am back to where I was with a total T of 4 on the ref scale 10- 27. Not being a joke of being constant tired and feeling depressed. Keep me posted on your results with the 60 mg dose > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi > > > > > I was diagnosed having secondary > > > hypogonadism about 6 years ago by endo after he saw I > > > had low T , low LH , and low FSH. > > > > > > > > > > I gave myself T shots ,60 mg per week. Guest guest
I don't know if I told you this but if your dehydrated when your do your labs your blood will look thicker. If you have low Aldosterone/Renin you will be dehydrated all the time so test this. http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/aldosterone/test.html In this link they talk about this problem I have this problem and my blood levels are like this all the time for yrs. My Dr. and my Heart Dr. say don't worry about it. Hemoglobin 18.4 high range 13.2 – 17.1 g/dL. Note: high due to Dehydration from low Aldosterone. Hematocrit 54.3 high range 38.5 – 50.0 %. Note: high due to Dehydration from low Aldosterone. Guest guest
Hi Zorro Did you have a CBC (complete blood count test)before you were put on TRT? From what you are telling me it doesn't look like you are overdoing it on T . Is this a total T number the (16)? Did you have free T numbers as well? Was this test done right before your next shot of T was taken? I would ask your doctor to explore other reasons hematocrit is high as well to be on safe side. Like Phil was saying about dehydration etc.... Talk to your doctor if your hematocrit is still high when off T shots for a while. I will keep you posted on my results with 60 mg ..... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi > > > > > > I was diagnosed having secondary > > > > hypogonadism about 6 years ago by endo after he saw I > > > > had low T , low LH , and low FSH. > > > > > > > > > > > > I gave myself T shots ,60 mg per week.
