Guest guest
I've been using Androgel for 4 years now and it still works well. In fact, when I added HCG to my regimen, I had to decrease the dose from 10 g to 7.5 g because my testosterone went too high. ________________________________ From: chrisdl2008 <chrisdl2008@...> Sent: Thu, May 6, 2010 4:53:25 PM Subject: Gels - do they always result in diminishing returns?  I read so many people on the boards who start on gels and are happy with them for a period (say 2 years or so) then people claim they don't work the same and then turn to injections. 1. Guest guest
Thanks guys - I always thought it may cause the skin to thicken and absorption would decrease over time but again the below response proves it varies markably from person to person. Although 4 years would still be considered fairly early given that TRT is a generally a lifelong commitment. Ed - did you add hCG yourself or did your doctor prescribe it? and how were your DHT levels on 10g of Androgel? Not too many docs in the UK (or anywhere for that matter) would prescribe 10g of Androgel (highest dosage) AND hCG. > > I've been using Androgel for 4 years now and it still works well. In fact, when I added HCG to my regimen, I had to decrease the dose from 10 g to 7.5 g because my testosterone went too high. > > > > > ________________________________ > From: chrisdl2008 <chrisdl2008@...> > > Sent: Thu, May 6, 2010 4:53:25 PM > Subject: Gels - do they always result in diminishing returns? > >  > > I read so many people on the boards who start on gels and are happy with them for a period (say 2 years or so) then people claim they don't work the same and then turn to injections. > > 1. Guest guest
Hi Spadeboy Sounds like you have the perfect doc. I am in the UK and know I will face an uphill battle to get the correct treatment to say the least and my symptoms have been getting worse so need to seek out help this year definitely. May I ask what hospital you doc is registered at? (if you don't want to name him on board or even better of you could email name) I would not necessarily us your doc as prob bit away from me but always good to know as a last measure. Did he also give you a proper diagnosis as to why you have low T? Cheers Chris > > Hi there Chris > > My doc is in the UK (which figures I suppose given that so am I) and he prescribes Testogel (Androgel in the US), HCG (Choragon) and Arimidex without any problem. I take 10g of the gel (which amounts to two sachets). He goes a lot by the lab results and will prescribe as much as he likes in order to get the levels correct. > > Hope it all goes well for you > > Ade > >
