Then you did the right thing maybe he was worried about your health care plain

wanting to know why he is going for MRI first when a CT is less cost. And Dr.'s

so this crap when in most cases the health care plain could care less.

Yep Phil,.....she said that the other day when I was in there.

I made it clear that I have had different MRI's before and my insurance gave me

zero grief about it.

Seems incredibly stupid to me to open yourself up to 2 tests trying to save

money on the first one. Both have contrast,.....no getting around that and its

small risks, but the CT bombards you with radiation which is a negative to me

unless it is needed.

BTW,....I am getting my prolactin, FSH, and LH done tomorrow right before noon.

He did not order the specific estrogen test that I asked about at this time, but

said that would come later.

Right now I am simply happy that I have the scan that is correct being ordered.

I will see what that shows, as well as the blood tests first. I see him again on

the 18th. and I intend to be very upfront about all of this depending upon the

results.

If I have to find another doc for this so be it,......just don't want to get

ahead of myself right now. Step by step is how I am looking at it.

Take it from a person that has had 14 MRI's of the brain and 1 CT of the brain

over the past 3 years, doing a MRI is 100% correct. Looking at a CT film is like

looking thru a dirty window at the brain, and looking at MRI films, is like

looking right into the Brain; it is an awesome sight. I have 15 sets of films on

my dining room table, with the very first 1 a CT scan. It is a night and day

difference in Quality of the images.

Question for Phil and Others

As some remember I was scheduled for a head scan looking for a pituitary tumor.

Mainly due to a quick onset of visual disturbances, headaches, and a slight

amount of dizziness, combined with my very low T levels.

Seems like a no-brainer to me to check this first.

I did not understand when the testing facility called and said I was set up for

CT with/without contrast as I posted before. I never scheduled it BTW

Don Thank you so much for this post it helps big time for some of the men here.

So what did they find when I had my MRI it showed nothing. But sending my labs

going back 23 yrs out to someone up on Pituitary Problems they said my labs were

screaming I have a Hypopituitary Problem. I found this guy at STTM forum

for Hypopituitary Problems and he helped me a lot.

http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/

The forum there is shut down but got picked up at this forum I am a mod there

also for men only. Here is a link it might be for some help reading this link

to you or you might all ready know about it.

Yes, thanks Don!

I feel certain I have made the correct decision.

No such thing as putting 100% faith in ANY physician,.....even the best make

mistakes.

Now I just have to wait to get it scheduled.

BTW,......just had the vampire at Quest draw my blood at noon.

I will probably have my prolactin, FSH, and LH levels by early next week. I will

surely post them here for input.
