Guest guest
I've been on T replacement therapy for about a year. For the last 3 months, shots at 100mg / week in divided doses. I am finally noticing that my testicles are shrinking. They used to be walnuts, now just grapes. Does this mean that I'm now sterile? It really doesn't matter to me from a functional point of view. I'm older and my wife has had a tubal ligation, so no more kids for us. But I'm curious. Also, is there a point of no return as far a producing my own T? I know it's shut off now, but I wonder if I can get it going again. I don't mind shots, but I wonder if they were EVER necessary. My low T may have been caused by low thyroid and/or adrenals. Guest guest
When ever you go on TRT we notify our patients that there is a risk of fertility. Even though your testicles are small they still may be fertile. In order to test this you may want to get a sperm sample test done at a clinic to verify. When time comes to concieve on can be on TRT and try clomid to increase fertilty. We have men that have concieved in a week when placed on clomid. Another opton may be hcg which can be used to help testicles to increase volume. With HCG you are also at the mercry of e2 fluctation which may occur with some people. My suggested is confirm if you are and then take next steps. Another alternative is HMG which will help with FSH and LH. HMG is new and dosages range around 75ius ED oe EOD. Hope this helps. Do remember it does take 2 to tango so your Significant other may want to be checked for progesterone levels which can prevent one from concieving. optimal levels are >9 during luteul phase in women to concieve. > > I've been on T replacement therapy for about a year. > For the last 3 months, shots at 100mg / week in divided doses. > > I am finally noticing that my testicles are shrinking. Guest guest
As long as you add Testosterone to your body your brain will see it and slow down sending the LH and FSH messages that tell your Testis to make Testosterone and they stop working and will get smaller. I was on TRT 23 yrs my testis were the size of small grapes. Adding in HCG they started working again because HCG acts like the LH and FSH message and your testis will go back to work the best they can and in most men come back up in size. Most men don't like there testis small but the benefit of doing HCG is you activate all them LH and FSH cells in your body that don't get this message from your Brain on TRT. So the question here is is it better for them cells to not be working or is it better to have them working. Guest guest
I have had several clients that had same issue who where <30 years old. Once I examined their lifestyle, nutrition, sleep hygiens, hidden infections, emotional stress, symptoms they made the decision to come off to try a restart. A few were early 20's on TRT for 2 years came old cold turkey. They never felt it was right in the first place. If you give the bulding blocks it needs in the right ratio while addressing the underlying cause then your chances of restarting are greatly increased. If I would have known now and the dr listen instead of calling me a hypochondriac I would have not needed HRT and lost 6 years of my life. A curse turned into a blessing !! It so funny seeing the dr's that called me a wack job in the same semimar I attend LOL. Some times you just want to go up and punch them in the face, but I have more professionalism then that. One thing I will not do is bad mouth another professional. I may disagree with them, but I will back it up with data and what I have heard from patients or clients. I always give them the benefit of the doubt because they could have had a bad day, but when there is a reoccuring trend of people saying the same thing red flags will go up. I have been called a quack, charlitan, witch dr but its funny that some of the top medical professionals are now incorporating the same approach into their protocols. > > > > > > I've been on T replacement therapy for about a year. > > > For the last 3 months, shots at 100mg / week in divided doses. > > > > > > I am finally noticing that my testicles are shrinking.
