I would take the machine to one of those bp machines at the markets and run a

test on your own blood pressure on the free machine and you own machine. Of

course you could do the same thing in your doctors office. In fact the nurse

even suggested I bring in the machine and compare it to her measurements. You

might want to give it a 10 minute rest between measurements.

If the rubber tubes are wearing out, you can probably replace them but you'd

have to do a search on medical or surgical tubing. Might be easier to buy a new

machine. I see them in thrift shops all the time for a few dollars.

Subject: BP meter accuracy

Speaking of Cialis and its effect on blood pressure, I haven't been able to

measure my BP with any confidence for some time--probably years, when it comes

to my Omron unit at home. The Mayo Clinic, ETC, says you should have your

machine calibrated once a year, taking it to your doc's office....

But my doc's office claims to know nothing about how to do that. When I called

the manufacturer, they finally said I could ship it to Texas so they could look

at it. After so much time, the rubber tubes begin to deteriorate, and all sorts

of other things can knock it out of whack. I'm beginning to think they don't

give a damn if their machines are accurate or not--even when they're brand new

(and they may not be even then!!).

I'd be grateful to know how some of you are dealing with this problem. Thanks,
