I can't say stress of pot will lower a mans Testosterone this low.  And sex has

nothing to do with it even if you started at 7.  You are active so this can't be

it if you could get a copy of your labs and post them with the units and ranges

it would help.  You need to find out why your Testosterone levels are so low

before you treat them any way.  If you went on meds with out finding out why

your low you might never find out.  So your lucky your Dr. did not jump in and

put you on TRT.

Here are a few links to read about low T and do have your Estradiol E2 levels

checked this is what kills your sex life in men.

Hi and welcome to the group

General rule of thumb is you need a minimum of 500 ng/dl of total T for

everything to work correctly - i.e. erections and desire. Its not clear to me

why your T is low - smoking pot does not seem to be an issue unless the tar in

the smoke has affected your arteries and you have clogged them to the point that

you are not getting adequate flow. This would possibly explain your ED but not

the low T. This is possibly why your Dr. suggested get off the smoke and get in

shape to increase your cardio-vascular conditioning. With that said, I would

think you need to get your estradiol checked - this can also be a killer for

men. I would try to figure out what is causing my problems but would get on TRT

if I didn't find something soon. This is not a healthy level - especially for a

man your age. This will also make working out less effective too. Arkansas

Hello,

I would like to share my sad story and look for help and success stories.

I'm 30 years old and for the last 5 years I feel a low sexual libido

and bad performance. I never paid attention to it, as it was not so bad

but I start noticing it declines rapidly. I checked with my doc did a

test and my testosterone came to be at 250 level which is very low for

my age.

I talked with urologist and he attributed to my lifestyle. Well for the last 10

years I have

been smoking pot everyday and that certainly could be the cause I also

smoke cigarettes for 14 years and have been drinking couple of times a

week but good amounts. I also went through the stress of loosing my

mother recently and that definitely made things worse for me. One other

factor is that I started my sexual life early at the age of 12 and was

really active until about 24 when I say really I mean I had sex almost

every day from that time and I also have 2 kids and a wife now. I also

never really worked out except playing soccer, basketball and swimming.

My doc told me to quit smoking pot and start working out which I

started and doing it for the last month. So far I see no difference.

It's really hard for me to get it up everytime we are with my wife, I

even tried different women thinking that the reason could be my wife

and the same thing. I'm really frustruated and freaked out, and hope

that can get valuable advices form folks here. I also started to work

out lift weights, and use ZINC which I heard increases the

testosterone.

Please help !!!!

The combination of everything you are taking, pot, alcohol, caffeine, ciggarets,

may contribute to a low testosterone level.

The trouble is all of those things are hard to quit.

Having low T myself, i don't see how I could have quit all of those things if I

had low T while quitting them.

there is also the trouble that once your level gets down to the 300's, it will

be difficult to raise your levels back to what they should be at even if you

quit everything.

When you say pot everyday, how long does it take you to go through an 1/8 of an

ounce?

I might suggest quitting the easiest first, and then go on TRT. it will

probably be easier to quit other things with a higher level of Test, since all

of your use is essentially medicating the problems you are having.

being on T feels so good, that I don't crave much of an escape that could be

provided by binge drinking or other things. There is the possibility that if

you have some addictive activities occuring, that going on T may result in a

yearning to do even more " roids " .

Having limp dick is not the end of the world, once this happens, you can relax

because that is usually as bad as it gets. Everytyhing will work right once you

get the test and Estadiol balanced.

pot will increase estrodial for sure, so make sure your Dr. checks it.

TRT probably won't lengthen your life, but having low T will reduce the quality

of your life, and probably shorten it by bringing on all kinds of other health

problems. I started it because I was just about to start diabetes meds, and

have to be on 2-3 high blood pressure meds, along with a anti-cholestorol drug.

Having your Test levels normalized meant that I am off all the meds, no

diabetes, no high blood pressure(may have to go on one eventually) and my

cholestorol should lower too. oh yes, I save money on levitra too.

Am I going to be on it for the rest of my life? probably.

The troubles are still not over, finding a Dr. that will know how to treat you

properly is a challenge. and then there is the whole thing about Estradiol, I

keep on pushing mine down too low, and it takes a few days for it to come back

up.

injectable Test is going to cost you sixty bucks every 2-3 months without

insurance.

*And I Certainly can quit when it comes down to not being able to have >sex,

even though it's kinda hard, but I only took like 7 puffs in the >last one

month, and certainly can stay without it now. I'm just a lil >scared to go on

TRT at the age of 30 , does it mean I will have to be >on it until the rest of

my life ? Will that mean that my chances of >getting a prostate cancer will

quadruple if I'm on hormone therapy at >my age of 30?
