Thanks for your input, guys.

About melatonin, I've found studies suggesting melatonin's role in decreasing

joint pain in women undergoing aromatase inhibitor treatment, but have yet to

see anything about it being an aromatase inhibitor itself.

Phil, what appears as trouble for you might be more of what I'm targeting for

myself. My DHT hasn't increased beyond 28 ng/dL, despite having discontinued

soy and flaxseed over a year ago. I've noticed that my body and facial hair has

not returned to former thickeness before low testosterone. In fact, it

continues to decrease. Not a huge complaint, but I wonder what else low DHT

might be contributing to.

Besides its potential to increase testosterone, estradiol, & /or DHT, it looks

like DHEA can increase IGF (by 20%) as well

a month or so before you tested your DHT and estradiol, Phil. Did you have an

IGF test around the time you were taking DHEA? If so, did you notice any

elevation?

Thanks again.

My Dr. tests IGF-1, Testosterone, Estradiol and Thyroid with a mess of other

things every 8 weeks. My IGF-1 was all ways low and my IFGBP-1 levels have been

below normal for yrs. My DHT I don't test all the time about every 6 months. I

was on DHEA supplements for yrs up until I went on Cortef HC for low cortisol

levels and Florinef for low Alsosterone and Renin levels. When I treated this

my DHEA shot up so it was low due to the cortisol and Alsosterone levels.

So I stopped it then about 16 weeks ago my Dr. was going over my supplements and

told me we all need DHEA even is labs look good mine at the time off DHEA were

mid range. So I went back on it this it messed me up big time. The labs 2

weeks ago came back 3x's above the range my Estradiol went up double where I

keep it and I started having Panic Attacks.

My DHT was at a low normal levels and it shot up to 2x's above the top of the

range. Eight weeks ago my IGF-1 was 130 I was on Humatrope Growth Hormone 3

days when I did my last labs and my IGF-1 went up to 262 and my Thyroid meds

were making me feel hyper. My Dr. felt he was in error telling me to go back on

DHEA and to stop it. I had the Panic Problems before I started on HGH so this

was not causing the problem.

I feel much better stopping DHEA and Hardasnails was having the same problem and

started back on DHEA about the same time I did.

It's not good to have low levels of DHT and some of the men with it put on a low

dose cream to bring it up. Men on Androgel or Testis end up with higher levels

of DHT.

I have been on HGH now going on 2 months and can't believe how much better I am

sleeping and I feel happy and when I work out in the gym my muscles now get

pumped up. I had some ED problems due to my heart meds and this is gone. I am

told HGH takes about 6 months to see a diff. I lost 15 lbs on it so far and

can't wait to see what happens in 6 months.

Here is a link I have about DHT it's hard to find anything about other the hair

loss.
