Is is DHEA in my testosterone gel?????

Sendt fra min iPhone

Tom,

In men we all have Estradiol and other Estrogen's we need them much the same as

women need them only we don't need a much. In men E's are made from Testosterone

when we add it to the body as in TRT some of it converts into E's for most men.

As we age we can end up with more E's then the wife has.

It get convented from the Aromatase that is in the fat in our body the older we

get the more fat we have and the higher Estraidol can get.

So in younger men the higher your dose of Testosterone is from being TRT the

more it can convert into Estradiol.

http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/content/full/89/3/1174

But what your feeling I don't think it's a side effect from high levels of

Estradiol I feel it's the DHEA in your Testosterone Gel.

There is no dhea in my Liposomal! It's ok! I tale DhEA caps compounded on the

side. 35 mg daily. The best quality. I will fly down to Hertoghe in November

after I turn 32.

Have you had your adrenal functions checked through the 4x saliva test? Low

blood pressure and anxiety are strong indicators of poor adrenal function.

Tom that is why I thought your DHEA was in your Testoterone gel you said it was

compounded. I use to use a T cream with DHEA. Still I don't feel your feeling

this way due to high levels of Estradiol. But there is a first thing for

everyone.

When I feel like my levels are going up high even after taking a .25 mgs pill

that morning I will add .25 mgs when I feel like this and in about an hr. I will

feel better. You then would just take your next dose if you go to low it will

come back up very fast. There are just times where you get a spike in your E2

levels can be your food drinking water out of plastic bottles Plastic leaches E2

in to your food and water.

If this keeps up just take .25 mgs every other day if your doing it every 3

days. If you lose your wood not a big deal just stop the arimidex until your

wood comes back that morning go back on it but go back to every 3 days. I find

I have to do this a lot.

It's not bad to go to low unless your to low for a long time.

Maybe I'm just weird but I don't experience the emotional or physical roller

coaster that others speak about because of hypogonadism. My personality,

although I am not always the easiest going guy, has remained pretty constant.

When I am depressed, there is usually a valid reason explaining this besides

just a chemical imbalance. Let me say, I have no expectation that I should feel

" up " every day. That's just not normal for anyone. Same with physical energy. I

am a sixty-six year old man; some days I feel physically more vibrant than

others. This too seems normal to me.

One thing I feel very grateful for is that I enjoy excellent health most of the

time. It is rare that I ever feel ill or even get the flu. Other than sexual

dysfunction, I have no complaints....healthwise. My heart is great, haven't ever

had cancer, have some allergies which are not too bad. Normally, I have lots of

energy. I am mentally alert although not a brilliant as I would wish to be. All

in all, life is good.

I haven't given up at all, . If I had, I wouldn't have pursued TRT.

One thing I've neglected to mention is that I am bisexual. This has clearly

caused me some psychological issues when it comes to sexual relations. My wife

and I have been married for forty-six years. We are as solid as a rock

regardless of our sexual incompatibility. Being with her is of primary

importance to me. However, I am sexually more attracted to other men than to

women. If I had to choose between these two inconsistencies, I choose my wife,

always.

I have a lot of empathy for guys who are married and yet are either gay or bi.

My best friend is this way. He rarely has sex with his wife, and yet because of

his spiritual beliefs he believes he's cheating on her if he has sex with a man.

I feel sorry for him. He also has borderline personality disorder. I need to

call him - he's having surgery today for some damage caused by his sexual abuse

as a very young child and by his lifestyle when he was acting on his attraction

to men.

I'm glad you're solid as a rock with your wife - I've heard my friend say that

his wife is his rock as well. Congratulations.

Phil,

I've taken a statin for several decades. Fortunately, I haven't experienced the

reactions you have. However, some would argue that statins are problematical and

one should find alternatives. Statins control my genetically high cholesterol.

I'm not sure which is more harmful, high cholesterol or the possible side

effects of taking a statin for a long time. Unfortunately, there is a lot that

remains unknown about statins.

I would not tell People not to take Statin Drugs from what I have read what

happened to me is one in 20,000. If you suffer from joint or muscle pain you

need to tell your Dr. If he will not listen remind him what the insert says

about sides. Every one on Statin Drugs need to take 50 to 100 mgs of

ubiquinol-based Co Q10.

I find this supplement from Dr. Mercola is the best little by little my pain

from being on them statin drugs is getting better his ubiquinol-based Co Q10.

This other brands did not help as much as his is.

I would take my chances without statins.Big money in statins and drs are pushed

to prescribe.Total high cholesterol and high LDL means nothing.Only tests to be

concerned is having a high HDL and a low VLDL.Of course having low triglerides

is very important. But when one has low triglcerides,it throws the calculations

way off.The LDL is estimated and not directly determined. Most drs won't directly

check the VLDL by VAP test.Just easier to prescibe statins and God only knows

the long term effect of taking these potentially dangerous drugs. If one is

inclined to take a cholesterol drug, just take slo niacin with a baby aspirin 30

mins prior to taking it.this prevents the hot flash. It is a natural vitamin and

is very effective. No profit in it, so it's rarely prescribed. Phil

I've had high E2 for over 6 months now and although I feel like crap, I'm

still here and kicking. I can't take arimidex b/c of side effects and I " m

trying to get it down with DIM. So, don't worry about having high E2, it

ain't gonna kill you in the short term.

What are your symptoms of high E2? And how high is your E2?

What were the side effects you got from taking Arimidex?

Dunno what this is if it's high E2 or sinus infection or hemmorage in the

brain.. I just feel dying to be honest.. :-( Insane pressure in the head, pain,

heavy eyelids... NORMAL BP (135/85/80) and a slightly low temp at 98.2 F.

My E2 is very high, don't remembe the number at the moment.

Brain fog, my head feels heavy like my neck isn't strong enough to hold it

up, heavy eyelids, Pain in my sinus area (I've had CAT scans done and they

were negative), balance problems, and various other symptoms.

The arimidex caused me insomnia and heart palps. The thing that sucked is

that I was on it for about 5 weeks and most of all of the sytmptoms I listed

went away.

OK I HAVE ALL THOSE SYMPTOMS NOW... :-( Guess it's high E2 then! Any advice on

how to get it down fast using what I have in my kitchen? Like a spice or

whatever? My E2 was 69 pg/mL in December. The range is <30 pg/mL for men. It's

way too high. Is yours that high? But when I measured it again it was lower.

Maybe you took too much Arimidex? Now I worry about taking Arimidex too! CRAP!

Please read this: This is a copy of my email sent to Dr. Hertoghe today: (Maybe

you guys could comment?)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Dr. Hertoghe,

I need to know I need to take Arimidex based on all my different E2-results from

the past 2 months:

(Samples drawn at 11 am, fasting, with T-gel applied 1-2 evenings before draw as

per your request!)

Lab 1 Norway:18 Nov 2010 - Estradiol: 0.11 nmol/L (<0.18 nmol/L) N?

RP-L. Brussels: 15 Jan 2010 -

Estradiol: 69 pg/mL (<30 pg/mL) H!

RP-L. Brussels: 18 Jan 2011 - Control E2 (old serum) 40 pg/mL (<30 pg/mL) H!

Lab 1 Norway: 10 Jan 2011 - Estradiol: 0.08 pmol/L (<0.18 pmol/L) N?

Lab 2 Norway: 26 Jan 2011 - Estradiol: 0.15 nmol/L (0.06 - 0.14 nmol/L) H!

It's difficult for me to decide myself as I am not a hormone

specialist.
