I went to this private clinic, it was my father's treat (almost $200 for a 5

minute chat with a doc and a small blood sample), and I got these results at 10

pm, in the evening:

Hemoglobine 18.3* (13.4 - 17.0) This is actually even higher than it was

yesterday morning. I did drink 2000 ml plus water today, not so much sea

salt.Hematocrite 56.1* (40 - 50) This is also higher than it was at GP's office

yesterday.RBC 5.99 (I don't have a range but it's too high!)WBC 10.4 (no range,

but too high!)Platelets 288 (no range, but this is within range at least!)CRP

1.0 (no range, but this is good!)

They ran the full cell count and check, and the rest of the values, MCV etc.

came out within range! No point typing them in here.

So, no Iron yesterday, no Testosterone gel today, and still it doesn't look too

good. BUT at least they drew 3 vials of blood (10 ml total at least) - Which is

not much but it's something! The nuse even went like " Ah you have too much

blood? I'll do a couple of extra vials then! " which was nice of her!

The conclusion was: The doc at the private clinic told me my GP was a little off

when he said I could get a stroke from having these values. And I have not had

these high values for more than 1 week. He said in his opinion, there are no

indications that I can get a stroke right now. He said that GP was plain WRONG

in informing me on a FRIDAY that I could get a stroke, then telling me I could

be put in a hospital on MONDAY, which leaves me " scared " through the weekend.

Bad tactics, he said. He did say I needed to talk to Hertoghe's clinic on

Tuesday, and keep working with my GP on Monday, for whatever checks GP decides

to run. He also said I needed to kick my GP's ass a little for what he told me

yesterday, about the stroke etc. NOW, my GP did talk to a Hematologist, who told

me GP I could get a stroke, so... I don't know... Should I trust the

GP/Hematologist (blood specialist) or this private doc guy from tonight telling

me I am ok and won't die this

weekend?

What's your feedback on this guys?
