Basic fertility questions

Background info - just turned 40, energy and libido were in the toilet, so I

decided to check T levels with my GP. Not sure of the scale he used, but if the

bottom range of the scale was s/t like 200, mine was 191 IIRC.

Doc started me on Testim, one tube per day.

Did it for 6 months, and had my T rechecked, and it was in the 300's - not

phenomenal, but better, and my libido is certainly better.

However, the wife and I have 2 little ones, and we had planned to have two more.

We had no problems conceiving for the first two (in fact, the first was

conceived while she was on the pill, LOL).

I tried searching this group for fertility questions, but was overwhelmed with

thousands of posts. I combed through a few hundred without any real answers to

my questions.

Assuming I am in good health (other than the low T), relatively fertile, and

taking the Testim as prescribed, is this going to kill my sperm count, or

otherwise affect my fertility? Should I be looking for fertility docs to get

checked? My GP essentially told me that he didn't think it would be an issue for

me, but this is a very serious matter to me, to have two more kids. And had I

known before starting Testim that there was a chance my fertility would drop (as

my research on drug research sites would suggest), there's no way in hell I'd

have started it.
