Guest guest
My diganose since 2 days ago: Secondary Hypogonadism - Posttraumatic Brain Injury Syndrome, after an snow sleigh accident at age 13. So, THIS MORNING at 10:00 (1 hour after wakeup) I did the all-fasting (no meds, no food, nothing except two glasses of plain water before the test!) blood sample today. They drew 4 glasses of blood, to test LH, FSH, DHEA-S, S-DHEA, TESTOSTERONE, SHBG, etc. The only samples they didn't do was IGF-1/IGFBP-3, and ACTH which requires freezing, and my GP's office do not offer this. SO...... Oh, and I also told them to add Electrolytes. Btw, in Norway, we don't have the possibility to analyze O2, so we never check oxygen in people! Isn't that a bit scary? Anyway... Do you all agree that I should start the testosterone gel today, BEFORE I get the results from todays blood sample? The results won't be ready until 14 days has passed, so... Guess I am quite low on T now. Just guessing. I was near bottom range on the S-Testosterone (TOTAL, right?) two weeks ago, when I had been off the T gel for about 12 days. So, tomorrow is the 1 month anniversary for being off the Testosterone Gel. Hertoghe told me last week AND 2 days ago, that I should start the Testosterone Gel at 3/4 pump, which means 0.75 grams of gel, which equals 150 mg testosterone. 1 pump is 200 mg testosterone. So let's all pray my blood won't get much thicker or bigger in volume. I guess testing Cortisol in serum before taking HC this morning will also tell something, even if the result won't be 100% trustworthy because I AM taking HC every day. Lethal Lee asked me about this and now she'll get an updated answer to that value. Is it wise to also start iron today at the same time as I start testosterone gel? Hertoghe tells me iron won't increase blood thickness/volume. I must believe that since I am not a doctor!
Guest guest
I allways do what my Dr. tells me and I never stop a med without talking to him about it. So if I were you YES go back on your meds.
