There is a connection with low DHT/DHEA with our minds, but until science

does studies we have to rely on ourselves to understand. Could you describe

what you are experiencing?

Also, I am not sure how to increase DHT. Maybe Phil could shed some light on

that?

(Check your D3 levels everyone - That also screws with us)

To my recollection, Phil mentioned his use of supplemental DHEA increased his

DHT, estradiol, and DHEA accordingly. In light of supplemental DHEA increasing

estradiol, it would seem worth watching and correcting with something like

Arimidex or Letrozole should E2 get too high. That's something I'm looking

into, as I have very low DHT as well.

Some here would say not to touch supplemental DHEA unless blood levels reveal

you're low, which it sounds like in your case.

First thing doing shots every 2 weeks is dam old it's a roller coaster ride up

after the shot only to fall to low by the next one. This in it's self makes it

dam hard to feel better.

Men on Androgel or Testism have high levels of DHT as for DHEA if your in range

don't take it I don't know any people that add DHEA supplements and felt better.

If you don't need it it can make your Estraidol levels go very high. I would

try doing shots every week starting with 100 mgs per shot do this and retest in

8 weeks see how it looks. If you don't do your own shots at home this is might

be why your Dr. has you come in every 2 weeks. Have him show you how to do your

own shots. In the AACE Guidelines on page 11 it states to do shots every 7 to

10 days.

http://www.aace.com/pub/pdf/guidelines/hypogonadism.pdf

You need to get your Total and Free even bio. T levels up into the upper 1/3 of

your labs range and to keep your Estradiol levels down to about 20 pg/ml to feel

best doing this then going by how you feel you might need to do more then 100

mgs /wk. But the bottom line here is as you do this your body starts to undo

any probelms from having low T and you start to feel better a little everyday.

It's a slow process.

http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=450553

I do my own shots every 3 days using a 27g 1ml. x 1/2 " lg. needle doing this

keeps me more leveled and holds down my Estradiol levels.

Phil "

how do you get your T shots to load into a 27g needle? I assumed Tcyp was too

thick to allow such a small gauge.

OK I pull the dose I need of air into the needle then push the air into the

vial. I then pull the plunger all the way down and just hold it take me about a

min. or 2 to get more then my dose I then push the extra oil and air back into

the vial until I have my dose left in the needle. It comes out slow but comes

out so. I then do the shot into my thigh it comes out slow and this is good you

don't want to shoot oil fast.

-Just did my first self injection of Testosterone Cypionate today. Thanks for

these directions. I wish I'd read them prior to this mornings injection. It took

me several times trying to get the proper dose into the syringe before I finally

succeeded. I thought there had to be an easier way.

So far, the injection went well. I had a little occasional stinging at the site

for about a hour afterwards and otherwise no soreness. The injection itself

didn't hurt either.

I am in the second week of a three week injection from the doctor. Obviously, I

injected a week early. The last two times I had the three week dose, it was

pretty obvious by the way I felt that there was nothing left for that final

week. I supplemented by adding Androgel during the last week. I'm hoping by

injecting 100 mg each week, this will even everything out. We'll see.

My last Labs on January 22, 2010 didn't include testosterone free and clear

levels unfortunately. Test was 356 and PSA 3.2. I suspect I am not getting

enough testosterone cypionate yet since the over all test numbers are still very

low.

Anyone had any experience with talking their doctor into letting them increase

the dose? I don't really pass the " wood " test, although I do get a little (half)

hard since starting this treatment. Something is better than nothing, I guess.

The wood part is more about high Estradiol levels then Testostreone levels. You

need to keep your Estradiol levels at about 20 pg/ml the see how your feel on

your T dose. High Estradiol takes away anygood the T does.
