Guest guest
How do you know if you have Primary or Secondary Hypogonadism? Is this done by a blood test or some other means? Thank you, Greg
Guest guest
If you test this before going on TRT and do the following labs Total T, LH,FSH and Estradiol. This is the short list now if your Total T is low with low LH and FSH and high Estradiol it's the Estradiol doing this read this link. http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/content/full/89/3/1174 If your Total T is low and your LH and FSH is low with good Estradiol say less then 30 pg/ml. You need your Pituitary looked at you might have a pituitar tumor or it stopped working from a head injury this is called Secondary. Now if your Total T is low and your LH and FSH levels are with good Estradiol your Testis are not working this is called Primary and you need to see an Endo and get checked up for Prostate or Testis cancer before going on TRT.
