Guest guest
My husband has something called tooth resorption, where the inside of the tooth starts to disappear. He is having two teeth pulled this week because of it. He is not on DIM or arimidex yet, so that's probably not it. He did, however, start taking Vit D recently, and now you're making me wonder if there's a connection. I've read that you shouldn't take Vit D without calcium because then the Vit D will draw calcium out of your body/teeth? But he takes calcium! I don't have a source on this, so research it on google for confirmation. In any case, I'd get to a dentist soon, before minor pain turns into disabling pain. I've also read low testosterone/estrogen in a man can lead to osteoporosis, and that affects the teeth too. Hypo or hyperthyroid can also negatively affect your teeth. After starting both at the same time ive had toothpain or disscomfort. It feels as if teeth are getting hollow. Doesent hurt much but its very annoying and if indeed they are getting hollow it cant be good. > > If i dont take DIM i cant stand to take Testogel wich is a shame cause apart from toothpain im doing okay. > > If its Vitamin D id be very suprised considering its suppose to help bones etc and i was well below the scale when i started 4 weeks ago. > Ref range: 75-200 and i was only at 28. > > Any thoughts? > > Thanks! >
Guest guest
Some men hell women can't take DIM I don't feel it's Vit. D but I just read a study saying if you take your Vit. D with your biggest meal it works better. Did you try DIM and dinner time with some TMG at bedtime this helps your liver wash out the E's and do your Vit. D in the morning with some eggs, toast and fruit. If this still is going on what are your E2 Estradiol levels if you went to low you can suffer some bone loss and joint problems. If you find it's the DIM switch to Arimidex. Guest guest
If you are not taking enough calcium and magnesium with vitamin D it can pull calcium from your bones to make up the diffeence. I usually recommend 800- 1000 mgs calcium citrate combined with 400-600 mgs of magnesium glycinate or citrate. Person with low wirh satrated fats will also have trouble assmiluating calcium as well ..May be add in some organic cocconut oil 1 TBSP just to make sure he is getting properl fats. There could be multiple factors going on here and he should be refered to a dentist immediately if it continues. > > > > Have any of you experienced something similar with DIM or Vitamin D. > > > > Im taking just 1 pill of dim and approx 5000IU of vitamin D per day.
