Guest guest
I hope you read my reply to 8 weeks after starting on gel it to dam long to go with out testing you can end up with levels lower then you started going on Gels. Every good Dr. that is up on gels does labs in 2 weeks. Some men feel better in the first week then fall back when tested there levels are lower then they started. Some men have a thyroid problem this makes there skin thicker and the gel can't get through there skin. Most men need more then the starting dose of 5 grams. Guest guest
my number was 244 and right now I do feel good, i actually think over my lifetime it was always low. I'm 46 now and think that this was my problem for many years always an athlete but could never get to the next level, now a feel very invigorated to work harder. Maybe it's all in my head too! I would like to step it up to at least 5gm but will wait and see what the numbers look like. waking up in with morning wood has also come back which is great!! From: pmgamer18@... Guest guest
The wood is a good sine keep track of it and when you do your labs check your Estradiol a Sensitive test for men at Quest labs it's #4021 range is 13 to 54 pg/ml. It's best to get your Total T numbers up into the upper 1/3 of your labs range and to keep your Estradiol down to about 20 pg/ml but I gage my levels by my night time and morning wood. Guest guest
Yes as your Estradiol levels can go up on TRT it gets to high you can lose them and you need them to keep your penis health. The loss of night time and morning wood means there is a problem. Guest guest
try not over doing it in the gym with low T you need T to keep your body strong and healty. If you over do it it can stress out your Adrenals and you might end up with low Cortisol levels. So listen to your body if you don't recover fast cut back don't get into that old mind set no pain no gain. And keep track of your Estradiol levels now wood they might be to high. Guest guest
I went from 4 pumps to 6, 8 and 10. My levels were never over 290. The doctor switched me last month to a compounded cream. It is a lot less stuff to smear on, but I'm not sure it is any more effective. I also had my first estradiol test last month. It was 59, and the doctor said not to worry about that because it would come down as my testosterone came up. Of course we all know that is bs. At that time I started hcg and arimidex, without my doctor's help or support. A month later, I feel much better. I don't think it is the compounded cream. I think it is my body making its own testosterone with the help of the hcg, and I think it is getting the estradiol down with the help of the arimidex. My personal opinion is that the problem is the mono-therapy of testosterone replacement only. I guess there is some percentage of men that have success with replacement only therapy. However, assuming that you are not primary (meaning your testes do not produce testosterone) adding any testosterone (gel, cream, or shot) will cause your body to stop producing whatever testosterone it was producing. If you were at 200 before and assuming the added testosterone gave you another 200, you do not end up at 400. You stay at 200 because your body stopped producing the 200 it was producing. Now, if you can keep your body producing testosterone by using hcg, your level would go up. Also, if you have a problem with your testosterone converting to estradiol, you can increase your level by slowing down that conversion by using arimidex or dim. Attacking the problem from different sides just makes sense to me on some level. Then again, I'm not a doctor. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Sent: Wednesday, May 05, 2010 12:29 PM Subject: Re: Dr Visit Tomorrow I finally got my results back, not good: Total 208 Free 4.3 I was at 325 & 8.6. Guest guest
, From all I've read, the best area for absorption is the upper arms and abdomen. That's why they say so in the instructions. When I first suspected I was hypogonadic I bought a couple of books and they both stated that the upper arms and abdomen is the best area. I forget why exactly; it's not just the amount of blood (though there is a ton of it in the abdomen). If I remember right it has something to do with the thickness (or lack thereof) of the skin and the types of cells in that part of the body. I expect that you'll know if it's working. You won't need the blood tests to know if it's helping, just to know what your levels are. The books I mentioned above also both stated that many guys don't get enough T on 5g. Sure sounds to me like the 10g may well do the trick. You should see the effect in a day or two as the gel gets in the blood stream quickly. Just my 2 cents... Bill ________________________________ From: <kevmtb@...> Sent: Wed, May 5, 2010 6:46:06 PM Subject: Re: Dr Visit Tomorrow I had been following the manufacturer' s instructions of applying to upper arms/shoulder and stomach area, I think will mix it up and do inner thigh, behind legs and knee, where skin is a little thinner and blood flow is greater, maybe that will help. Guest guest
Bill I know some books say to put gels or creams on ones abdomen but this is not a good Idea doing this it is going through fat and most of the men that tried this ended up with very high levels of Estradol. So if you have fat on your abdomen don't put Testosterone there. When I was on gels I found the upper arms and shoulders and down my back worked best and I have a lot of hair there. Guest guest
Keep it off your abdomen if you have fat there it will convert into Estradiol big time. I feel you will know in 2 weeks if this new dose is going to work if you don't feel better call your Dr. tell him you can't use gels they are a pain in your A** and your worried about it getting on your wife and kids. A lot of men will not go on them for this reason and do shots. Guest guest
I hate saying this but run from this Dr. as your Testosterone levels go up so will your Estradiol. It's a same to get the right help that you need to do this on your own keep looking for a better Dr. Co-Moderator Phil > From: Wharff <robertwharff@...> > Subject: RE: Re: Dr Visit Tomorrow > > Date: Wednesday, May 5, 2010, 5:29 PM > I went from 4 pumps to 6, 8 and > 10. Guest guest
Phil, I agree. When I was using the gel (on shots now) I found that when I applied it to the abs it didn't seem to work as well. I ended up always applying it to my upper arms and shoulder. I was concerned that was going to apply it to areas that would be less beneficial than the arms. Did you advise him on that yet? BTW - my doc is Dr. Crisler. Is that who you had help you? I had my first consult with him three weeks ago. Good doc. Bill ________________________________ From: philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> Sent: Thu, May 6, 2010 11:01:34 AM Subject: Re: Re: Dr Visit Tomorrow Bill I know some books say to put gels or creams on ones abdomen but this is not a good Idea doing this it is going through fat and most of the men that tried this ended up with very high levels of Estradol. So if you have fat on your abdomen don't put Testosterone there. When I was on gels I found the upper arms and shoulders and down my back worked best and I have a lot of hair there. Guest guest
Well I am not sure what I told him today I must have posted at different forums to 33 men. Yes Dr. saved my life and is a good friend yet I never seen him. And I live in MI. he helped me to get my Dr. to let me try HCG when I did my levels of TT doubled showing me not my Dr. I am Secondary my Dr. felt the HCG made my Adrenals make the extra T he was guessing Dr. told me no way to check my Pituitary. Turns out it's bad from an auto accident some 28 yrs ago where I had a head injury. Now finding this out it was not hard to get my new Dr. to treat all my low normal hormones. Dr. is a great gift from God to us men. I have had low T 28 yrs it took me 23 yrs to figure this out I never felt 100% on TRT now I treat all that looks low and feel much better thanks to Dr. . Guest guest
No I don't know of one but in the files section at the home page on the left open it and read " Find a New Male Hormone Dr. " in this is some help on this and you can call compounding pharmacy and ask for the names of Dr.'s the they sell compounded testosterone to and get there number then make calls and ask questions like how many men dose the Dr. treat for this dose he check for high Estradiol and use Arimidex to lower it. Will he use HCG you will know when you have a good on DO are very good for this.
