Guest guest
DH puts weight on in his belly and breasts when his estrogen goes high. His thighs and hips don't change. FYI, I am hypothyroid and when my dose was TOO low, 1/2 grain, I became very low in cortisol and lost all body fat, even while eating constantly to fight hypoglycemia. I got down to about 113 lbs. and looked gaunt. I am now on 2.5 grains of thyroid and 130 lbs., but still might be slightly undermedicated. 125 is my best weight. You know the spare tire/love-handle area. Now granted I have noticed my chest getting a bit less 'flat' and I am sure it is related somehow, but my hypothetical is this: > > If a man is high in estrogen, would he not be more likely to build fat in areas where females normally do? > In other words the hips and upper thighs? > > Just a thought I had, and was wondering what the consensus is on that subject. If that idea is correct then I don't have to worry. > My legs are getting thin, and my rear is becoming non-existent. That is sad as I always was complimented by the females about my nice rear! Guest guest
To high or to low of thyroid can stress the adrenals. High or low cortisol have the same symptoms and can mimic thyroid or estrogen related issues. So proper evaluation of these hormones are essential because symptoms can easily over lap. My self and many other second guess them making matters worse because it could be completely different they what we think setting people progress many months back wards. > > > > I have been reading a lot since joining here, and even more on my own. > > Some makes sense,......some sounds like snake-oil to me. Guest guest
Do not try to second guess the body because it can through a big curve ball since symptoms over lap. You need a train HRT dr specialising in this such as Dr Overbeck whose located in the northeast or Dr J located in the mid west. > > I have been reading a lot since joining here, and even more on my own. > Some makes sense,......some sounds like snake-oil to me. Guest guest
I had all the low T, high estrogen symtptoms which has since been confirmed with tests. Like you I lost muscle mass and never had any abdominal fat. So... just 'cuz you don't have the fat doesn't mean you don't have low T or high E. While I have all the signs of possibly being high in estrogen by symptoms alone, I am confused about one thing. I have very little spare body fat, actually my problem is I keep losing muscle mass by the day it seems. What I do have might be 5 pounds around the middle. You know the spare tire/love-handle area. My legs are getting thin, and my rear is becoming non-existent. That is sad as I always was complimented by the females about my nice rear! LOL This is serious, and not a joke BTW. Guest guest
These seem to be signs more of a congested liver not processing toxins properly. I have been through the same stuff belly gets bloated arms and legs shrink. It was not untill I got my hormones, thyroid and adrenals in check that all of this got significantly better. It was also important that I also detox my body focusing on the colon, liver and lymphatic system. As we know if your liver is not processing properly estrogens can get recirculated over and over again and not get excreted efficiently. FActor in hidden mutation estrogens from food and pollution you have a cancer breeding ground among other things. > > > From: marc200134470 <cfs38@...> > > Subject: Is my thinking on high Estrogen correct? > > > > Date: Tuesday, May 18, 2010, 4:10 PM > > I have been reading a lot since > > joining here, and even more on my own. > > Some makes sense,......some sounds like snake-oil to me. > > The negative stuff is not from here BTW. > > > > While I have all the signs of possibly being high in > > estrogen by symptoms alone, I am confused about one thing. > > I have very little spare body fat, actually my problem is I > > keep losing muscle mass by the day it seems. > > > > What I do have might be 5 pounds around the middle.
