Guest guest
I just received results from my testosterone and cholesterol tests so I can compare the results of this test with the results from a couple of months ago. All the tests were performed by Labcorp. 2/17/2010 Serum testosterone 486 (range 241-827) Total cholesterol 196 (range 0-199) HDL cholesterol 66 (range 40-59) LDL cholesterol 126 (range 0-99) LDL Particle size 21.1 (Pattern A) larger is better for this one Small LDL-P 120 (range Low <600, High >1,200) Triglycerides 45 4/19/2010 (after using Arimidex and HCG for a month) Serum testosterone 1,070 (range 241-827) need to get that down a bit Total cholesterol 164 (range 0-199) HDL cholesterol 51 (range 40-59) LDL cholesterol 102 (range 0-99) LDL Particle size 20.4 (Pattern Pattern B is not good Small LDL-P 601 (range Low <600, High >1,200) Triglycerides 51 I was disappointed but not surprised that my HDL cholesterol decreased. I've worked very hard to keep that number between 66 and 76) and also disappointed that my small LDL particle number increased. HDL cholesterol and small LDL particle numbers are much better indicators of cardiovascular risk than total cholesterol or LDL cholesterol. In fact, I'm trying to keep my total cholesterol between 200 and 220. I'd like to see my LDL a little bit higher. This is the first time I've been able to compare the relationship between HDL cholesterol and testosterone levels and the changes are not due to diet this time because I eat the same thing now as I did two months ago. All the changes were not due to the change in testosterone by itself. Some of the decrease in HDL could be because my estrogen is lower, thanks to Arimidex. I'll be lowering my Androgel a bit to bring my total testosterone down to 700 and I'll get it and my cholesterol rested in a couple of months to see where it stands. Guest guest
Ed I am sure you read this before but I need to say it any way. If you did your labs after you put on the gel it can spike up your levels. I tell men to get up shower off the old gel go do the labs then put on the gel. If you can't do this put on the gel making sure you don't get any near the spot they take the blood and do labs 6 hrs after you put on the gel. There is no way one can get levels this high on the max dose of 10 grams best I ever did was 600 some make it to 800 never 1000. If you did not do the above your labs are no good redo them. Guest guest
The day I had the blood tests done I had not yet applied any Androgel. At the time, I had also been on 10 grams daily. My wife says I'm easily offended, so I guess I have thin skin :-) Interesting note: In the past when I went from 5 to 7.5g, I would get a lot more acne. With Arimidex 0.25mg every 3rd day, even at 10 grams daily, I had little or no issues with acne. ________________________________ From: philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> Sent: Fri, April 23, 2010 9:41:33 AM Subject: Re: Effect of testosterone on cholesterol  Ed I am sure you read this before but I need to say it any way. Guest guest
Ed still if you did not shower off the old gel and you had some on this area witch you say you don't I still can see how you got levels this high. So if I were you I would just keep doing what your doing if you feel good. Guest guest
Not to beat a dead horse, but I showered before I had the lab test done. ________________________________ From: philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> Sent: Fri, April 23, 2010 12:21:56 PM Subject: Re: Effect of testosterone on cholesterol  Ed still if you did not shower off the old gel and you had some on this area witch you say you don't I still can see how you got levels this high.
