Guest guest
Other folks on this forum can advise you better than I can on this subject. The only test I had was the Estrogen Comprehensive panel, which measures Estrone, Estradiol and Estriol. Men would never show any Estriol, so that's a bit of a waste. I think knowing your estrone levels is important. Estradiol and Estrone can convert back and forth easily. Estrone Sulfate can be stored in the body for a long time. Because both my Estradiol and Estrone were well above normal for a male, ( 80 when it should be less than 50 ), I knew I had to get that under control. My high estrone levels meant there was a built in reservoir of estrogen and even if I prevented further aromatization with Arimidex, there was a lot of estrogen hanging around. Some folks say to use the Sensitive Estradiol test. ly I've never been concerned with my testosterone levels. I know I'm getting adequate testosterone and am not worried about having too much as long as my red blood cell count is normal and my estrogen doesn't get too high. I get tested for red blood cells, and hematocrit every month, but the Veterans Administration does that for free. They don't want to test my estrogen at all. So my next quetion - which set of labs do I request from their list of tests? > I looked in Male Specific tests and there are MANY to choose! Guest guest
Most labs men get for Estradiol or Estrogen are women's labs men need to do a sensitive test like the Quest test #4021 when on arimidex so they can tell how low they go down going to low is not good worse then being to high. I have found that doing Total E's don't tell use anything because the E's in men is not the same as in women we make them from Testosterone women don't as per Dr. so when you do a Total E test it is not worth anything. I do great keeping my E2 Estradiol level in check by gaging them with my involuntary nocturnal erections that appear during REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep. As long as you have them and no meds that cause ED or a med. problem with your penis you can keep your E2 levels in the best levels gaging your night time and morning wood. I have hundreds of men doing this.
