I feel it's from high E2 I sweat a lot when my levels are high and as you know

But a sweaty man smells different than a sweaty woman. I always thought it was

testosterone that made men smell. :) FYI, when my thyroid dose was way too low

(1/2 grain), I smelled " manly, " even right after a shower. I've heard DHEA can

go high when thyroid gets too low, so maybe my testosterone was high then.

Anyway, now taking much more thyroid, I don't have that smell anymore.

Well you smell fine to me :-) yes your right about the Thyroid. I am switching

from 150 mcg. of generic Synthroid and 5 mcgs of T3 only 3x's/day to 60 mgs 3x's

per day of an NTH med called NP Thyroid.

Do you have any good ideas how to switch over.

It's not sweaty smell but a very disturbing raunchy smell (for lack of a

better word).

Also, still trying to figure out aromasin, I just took 1/4 pill and it shot

weird feelings through my body. It also made me very fatigued and made my

hands feel very hot.

I feel like I'm to the point that I'm doing more harm than good to my body.

I've always felt it was the liver.

The few people I've known who had incessant BO problems (I mean, they were ripe

right after getting out of the shower) were illicit drug users. I think drugs

will wreak havoc on the liver.

Those of us with hormonal issues can often deal with sluggish liver as well.

Is it like an ammonia smell? Do others notice that you smell?

Low estradiol is no fun. Joint aches are what happen to me when that occurs

and my brain sort of shuts down.

I'm confused. Is it High or Low that causes someone to smell?

Thanks,

I went through the same type of thing a short while back. Previously I could

sweat all day and not smell to be honest.

After I started to notice the smell I started on Arimidex for other reasons

obviously.

Took a cycle and my E2 dropped from 52 to 24.

Smell is gone.

Nothing else I can say, nor do I have any PROOF it had anything to do with E2.

Mike, so you're not talking about male body odor, right? Some other smell

that just cropped up?

Could you be detoxing things out of your body?

Good point, MBmom. I've read low zinc can cause stinky feet.

Well, it could be sweat. I do know that the odor comes off of my neck

though.

Your kidding how much Zinc do you take and do you add in Copper doing Zinc will

lower Copper. But I never heard of Zinc lowering cortisol are you on HC meds for

low cortisol. I am and I do fine taking Zinc.

Phil,

Google it and you'll see that zinc lowers cortisol production. For a guy

like me who is on a physiological dose of medrol, I can't afford to lower my

cortisol any further than it is. Would love to get on zinc though. Also

can't wait until my adrenals are healed so taht I won't have to worry about

this crap anymore.

What your talking about is Cortisol levels not HC or Medrol levels Zinc will not

lower HC or Medrol meds. Try some ZMA at bedtime 3 pills get the NOW brand.

And get some Copper 2 mgs take this at noon.

It will not lower your HC meds and it will help you feel better.

Phil,

Logically speaking, and I'm not saying I believe this because i have leaned

that you have to throw logic out the door with this stuff, people who are on

physiological doses of HC still have some cortisol production from their

adrenal glands. Therefore, getting on zinc, or anything else that lowers

cortisol production, would lower what little production of cortisol their

adrenal glands are making. This would, most likely, force that person to up

their current HC dose in order to compensate for the lowered cortisol

production resulting from the zinc.

I'll try it though. Thanks.

Mike, what's the lowest zinc dose you've tried? There's no need to take high

doses. You could even try liquid zinc and start with just a couple

milligrams and move up and see how you do with it.

I've had zinc bomb my cortisol levels before as well. I know what you're

talking about.

Zinc taking it your body will use it up not lower your cortisol levels. And we

are not taking about large dose's.

When you are not properly detoxifying through the gut and liver it comes back

out through your pores AKA lymphatic system.
