Guest guest
I just picked up my HCG from the pharmacy. My doctor had prescribed Novarel I think, but perhaps they had trouble getting it as what I got is Pregnyl. Now, unfortunately, the pharmacist followed the IM injection model for the syringes and gave me the same type that I use to inject my T. 3ml, 22g, 1.5 inch. I will fix that later and get smaller. Here's my question. . .This stuff is 10,000 USP Units/vial. It is a 10mL multidose vial with 10mL of solvent. The solvent bottle states that it is " bacteriostatic water for injection with sodium chloride. " Okay. ..so I know I'm supposed to mix the contents of the liquid-containing vial with the HCG vial. But here's where I'm confused. The pharmacist's note says that he talked to my doctor (who had prescribed 250 IU per dose) and because of the size of the needle, the doc told him to tell me to use .8mL. I am not good at the math/conversion here. . .is .8mL equivalent to 250 IU?
