Guest guest
I posted these at the rT3-group, but wanted to post it here as well to hear you hormone-pepps views on these things! So I am quite proud of myself. I do all blood draws in the morning (9-10 am), about 30 min to 60 min after wakeup. And I do them ALL FASTING, no meds, no vits/minds, no food, no drinks except a glass of water, before all tests............ This blood draw was done after being on 3/4 pump of Testosterone gel for 2 weeks. This is exactly 75 mg's of Testosterone. I am now reading right off of the bottle I am using. 24th of September 2010: (Total fasting - I just had 1 glass of plain water before blood draw!) S-Testosterone 18.0 (8 - 35 nmol/l) - Was 9 without gel. I take the gel now! 75 mg Testosterone daily. SHBG 17 (8 - 60 nmol/l) FREE Testosterone Index 10.6 (3.0 - 14.7) - I understand top range is the best? FT3 5.7 (3.6 - 8.3 pmol/l) - Below mid-range. Maybe THIS is why I feel so crummy? FT4 10.5 (8 - 20 pmol/l) T3 2.1 (1.2 - 2.7 nmol/l) TSH 0.47 (0.5 - 3.6 mIE/l) - Shouldn't this be zero? T4 85 (60 - 150 nmol/l) Thyroid Binding Globuline 18.1 (12.0 - 28.0 mg/l) - Do I bind well enogh? Antithyreoglobuline antimatter <20 (<40 kIE/l) Anti TPO <10 (<35 kIE/l) Prolactine 214 (50 - 700 mIE/l) - I had been awake for around 1 hour before this sample was done. The reference range is for those who have been awake for more than 2 hrs. Progesterone <1.0 (< 3.0 nmol/l) Estradiol 0.10 (0.06 - 0.14 nmol/l) - It was 0.12 on the last sample done on the 10th of September 2010. So it's less now. That's good! But shouldn't this be near low range??? LH 1.6 (1 - 12 IE/L) - Lower due to me starting the T-gel again.. :\ DHEA-Sulfate 8.2 (1.6 - 12) - Looking quite ok! Should be top range according to Hertoghe. Androstendione 4.1 (1.9 - 6.2 nmol/l) - Oooh, I am THAT much of a.. Woman? Cortisol 364 (138 - 690 nmol/l) - I did NOT take HC before the blood draw! - Hmmm. Proves I need HC right? In progress: Dihydrotestosterone S-DHEA rT3
Guest guest
Tom, Your S-T at 17 = 490 in my units this is still very low. Free T with a lower S-T means nothing FT is only 2% or your S-T and being this low on S-T 2% of that is not much even if you were at the top of the range. Estradiol in my units does not make sense I get .027 pg/ml unless it's 27 then your still to high with an SHBG this low. TSH I don't care what people say this should not be driven to zero your brain makes some Thyroid hormones for it's self if you drive TSH to zero your brain will not have any Thyroid hormone. Being on HC even if you did not take it will not tell you if you need HC you need to be off HC 2 weeks to test this to tell if you need HC. But what it does tell you is your Adrenals are still working and your not on to much HC. You need to drink at least 3 big glass's of water before doing labs.
