Guest guest
I'm pretty sure I can give myself the shots. I am insulin dependent. Also I gave myself the Nuprogen shots when I was going through Chemo. The hair thinning doesn't bother me...after all I lost ALL of my hair during the chemo...It's now fuller and darker than it ever was. Maybe it will come back blond and curly..lol. As I said in the other email, depression is bothering me alot. (re: Machelle) Thanks for taking the time to answer. Guest guest
Thanks for the welcome . My Grandma used to live in Portland before she died. I have many fond memories of your city from when I was a child. I have always lived here in CA but loved my visits to Grandma in Oregon. My mom and sister live in Coos County now. I have changed my diet a lot. I am now a vegetarian but I also carefully count all my calories and log my food. I have an old step video of 's that is one of my favorites. I will have to haul it out and do it again as it has been awhile since I did it. in CA Re: Intro Welcome, ! Congrats on losing 24 lbs, that's awesome! Have you changed your diet at all or did you lose most of it through exercise? Which Austin workout is your favorite? , Portland Oregon No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
Thanks . I have a lot of health issues also, but all of mine stem from being overweight. I have diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and most recently heart disease. I also made a promise, my kids (all grown ups now) were so upset when the doctor said that my arteries were clogged and that they could not put stents in the area of the clogs, that the only thing I could do was eat healthy and exercise, my son (26) actually cried and said that he wanted me to get healthy so that I could see his three (soon to be 4 in February) kids grow up, that he wanted them to have a grandma around. I promised them that I would do what I could to get myself heathier. It was kind of an eye opener and very scary. I feel much better already, although I still have a long ways to go. Sorry, I didn't mean to write a novel here. in CA Re: Intro No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
A step video sounds scary! Her cueing is usually so awful I'd probably break an ankle trying that one! (I'm hopeless at any choreography and, while I like step, I need simple movements and excellent cueing to keep from hurting myself!) Re: IntroWelcome, ! Congrats on losing 24 lbs, that's awesome! Guest guest
That's quite an inspirational story! My kids were 2 & 5 when I got my cancer diagnosis and they were/are my motivation (and my husband) to get myself healthy and stay there. It can be a long, frustrating and challenging haul but it is so worth it. Feel free to share your journey with us (and novels are fine, your post was FAR from a novel too), you'll get lots of support here! Keep up the great work!!! Guest guest
, your post is inspiring! It's never to late change your lifestyle, and you are living proof! Writing down your food and logging in the stats is such a useful tool, and combined with exercise, wow! Your family must be very proud of you and all your hard work! If you're ever in Portland again we should meet up! We can do a workout together too if you want (I'm a part time aerobics instructor and love group exercise but also am overweight and need to lose a good 50 lbs) Hugs,
Guest guest
Hi , be sure that you are doing it for yourself too not just your children. Losing weight and then maintaining it is very hard and you need to have strong personal reasons for losing weight otherwise it will be even harder to maintain your loss. Don't get discouraged if you only lose 1 or 2 lbs a week because it's better to lose it slowly. You CAN DO IT!
