Guest guest
When I was this high it took me doing .5 mgs everyday 2 weeks to come down the 8 weeks before that I was doing .5 mgs every other day and I did not come down into the range so it can 2 months. Guest guest
Arimidex has a half life of about 48 hours which means that in 2 days after taking it you will half of the concentration still in your system and 2 days after that half of that and so on. Therefore taking it everyday will cause a buildup in your system. Based on experience of men on this forum, I would not be comfortable increasing it over what you are currently doing. Most find if you bottom out, it takes a long time to build it back up to the range you need. Your level is really high. Most men start out with a level of 40-50 and can work back down to 20 in a couple weeks or so - there is not a general rule on this because we all process differently. My guess would be it will take you about 3-4 weeks to get down but that is really just a guess. The other thing you can do to help is lower your T if you are on TRT. Arkansas From: Kyrios Ouranos <okyrios@...> Subject: How long before Arimidex should work Date: Tuesday, February 16, 2010, 4:31 PM  I had a test for estradiol on Feb. 10 that showed a level of 130. My doctor prescribed Arimidex and I have been taking .5 mg every other day. It will have been one week, tomorrow, since I started taking it. I have not yet seen the " classic " signs that E2 level is down; i.e., night and morning erections. Is there any data on how long this should take to work given the initial very high E2 level? At what point might I consider a daily dose of .5 mg? Thanks!
Guest guest
Thanks Phil. I am considering going to .5 every day, but am afraid of missing and overshooting the sweet spot. ________________________________ From: philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> Sent: Tue, February 16, 2010 4:45:32 PM Subject: Re: How long before Arimidex should work When I was this high it took me doing .5 mgs everyday 2 weeks to come down the 8 weeks before that I was doing .5 mgs every other day and I did not come down into the range so it can 2 months. Guest guest
Thanks Dan. I may consider lowering the T a bit. Not sure. I'm currently on 100mg/week. But I doubt I really need a T lvel of 977, which is what the last test showed. ________________________________ From: Dan Meatheany <dmeatheany@...> Sent: Tue, February 16, 2010 5:21:08 PM Subject: Re: How long before Arimidex should work Arimidex has a half life of about 48 hours which means that in 2 days after taking it you will half of the concentration still in your system and 2 days after that half of that and so on. Guest guest
Then do it every other day it will just take longer but maybe not just because it took me a long time you could be different. Guest guest
Don't chase labs numbers if you feel good leave it and if you did them labs sooner then the day of your next shot they will show higher. We all need to do labs on the day of the next shot but before it to see how low you go. Guest guest
The most recent test for both T and E2 was done the day before my scheduled injection. I inject once each week, on Thursday. ________________________________ From: philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> Sent: Fri, February 19, 2010 3:14:34 PM Subject: Re: How long before Arimidex should work Don't chase labs numbers if you feel good leave it and if you did them labs sooner then the day of your next shot they will show higher.
