Guest guest
GP told me today that he had been on the phone with a leading professor in Hematology (blood) at the biggest and oldest hospital we have here in Norway. The professor said there is NO WAY that Testosterone gel would make my blood thicker, it's the iron. He said I can NOT take iron supplements, cause it's increasing my blood thickness and volume. They want to test me for Hematomacrosis (unlikely that I have this due to low Ferritin) and Polycytemia Vera (maybe I have this!) - But they didn't call this an emergency. They said it can take weeks before I get put into that hospital for testing. They also said it's no point drawing blood cause they don't know the cause of my blood issues at the moment. GP told me to start taking Testostertone gel, 2 grams, 200 mg total, 2 pumps, today. Cause it's not the gel making my blood worse. GP did not run blood samples today. He said... Come back on Thursday! And he told me to drink a lot of water with NO salt added. I am thinking: What if blood is getting thicker and more volume because I am in reality dehydrated within my cells from having too low sodium? Serum sodium was 139 two days ago so it's not bad looking, BUT.... I am just thinking........... Maybe because I am now drinking less sea salt (I don't add anything to my water anymore) I am somehow drying up? My Aldosterone values are normal, mid-range btw! So maybe it's the lack of SALT doing this to me???????? What do you think guys?
