At what time of the day did you do them labs the first time they check T levels

you need to do them early in the morning when T levels are there highest.

You look like your Secondary and I feel your Thyroid TSH is on the high side

number wise anything over 2 is a flag going up. You need more testing for

Cortisol and Thyroid. Hardasnails and Dr. O have found men with low levels of

Cortisol and Thyroid treating this some of there men there Testosterone levels

came back up.

Here is a link to labs I tell men to get adding to this for Thyroid is Total T3

and T4.

My lab tests ordered by an urologist were done at 9AM. Recently (Nov 2009)my

family doctor ordered a basic lab test and my TSH was 2.60 in a range of

0.35-5.50.

I posted before in this forum and got valuable advice, but sitll having several

doubts.

After 1 year on TRT shots there is not improvement in my libido and my wood. Now

my doctor put me on HCG monotherapy expecting to get better results. Does that

switch makes sense?. Shouldn't he put me on HCG first since I was diagnosed with

low testosterone?. Do you think that HCG alone can help me?. If so, is HCG

treatment for the rest of my life?

Thanks for your help.

I be more concern with low thyroid function which can control the whole

endocrine system. Get with a good dr that knows this stuff.

Your not neither its most likely coming from another source

While the LH/FSH levels are appropriate to T output, it looks as though you

are secondary.

No amount of thyroid manipulation will increase your T levels acceptably.

Be well!

Men on TRT doing shots that don't feel better after a yr. are not on enough what

amount of a T shot do you do and how often. Also men on TRT end up with higher

Estradiol levels and if your high it takes away from the good TRT dose. Most of

us take Arimidex to keep Estradiol down doing .25 mgs every 2 to 3 days your

levels were good before you went on T shots but I am betting they are high now.

I did not so good on just HCG only so I now do a 80 mgs Depo T shot every 3 days

and I do 400 IU's of HCG the 2 days each in between my T shot. This gets my

levels up into the upper 1/3 of my labs range for total and free T and I keep my

Estradiol down to about 20 pg/ml. Doing my T shots every 3 days is a smaller

shot I need a lot to get my levels up I eat it up as fast as I take it. You

might find you need both depo T shots once a week and you need to add in 250

IU's of HCG the 2 days each just before your next T shot. This works the best

for most men.

Thanks Dr. , thanks Phil, thanks everybody for your answers, I apreciate it.

Sorry to bother you again. Supposing I try HCG only and it works for me, should

I stay on HCG for the rest of my life?

I would like to know if you have heard about someone who is doing or has done

good with HCG only.

Yes I know men on HCG only that are Secondary and they feel they are doing great

on it. One guy sees Dr. Shippen he has him on HCG doing shots 3x's a weeks. At

one of the forums Dr. was at he told this guy to try doing HCG 100 mgs

everyday he did this and felt even better the last time I talked to this guy he

was doing 60 IU's per day of HCG but still needed something to keep his

Estradiol down. He used Indolplex/DIM and cut the tables in to small parts and

takes this to keep Estradiol levels down. Other men do about 100 IU's per day.
