Arimidex side effects

Hey group,

Has anyone either experienced or worked with someone who has experienced

side effects from low dose arimidex? These include heart palpatations and

insomnia. If so, were you able to do anything to remedy these?

Thanks,

I notice I am a bit horny the day after I take Arimedex. I wonder if others

notice this side effect. It doesn't effect my sleep, but coffee or chocolate

does.

I have terrible insomnia, so I'm very sensitive to anything that might disrupt

my sleep. Arimidex has had no effect.

I thought it was giving me headaches but I doubt it now as I haven't had a

headache in about 3 weeks.

I haven't noticed any side effects.

THanks Phil. Unfortunately, my doc doesn't know what to do either. Out of

the hundreds of patients he has treated with arimidex, I am the only one who

has problems with it like this. DIM doesn't work for me, can't stay on

arimidex and I read Chillin's post but my adrenals are well supported and

I'm on pregnenalone and progestereone and I still have very high E2. So, not

sure what to do at this point.

Wow now I find Aroasin works better for me then Arimidex.  I think you need to

try chilln's " Hormones 101 " it lowered my estradiol levels to below normal but I

was on Arimidex.  Now I only take one half a Aroasin every 3 to 5 days this is a

lot less then the one mgs./day of Arimidex I was doing.  I started on Preg.

cream my labs were tested first both Preg. and Prog. were low after 2 weeks on

Preg. cream my labs went up to 117.

Read this talk to Dr. M about this.

I had to stop the Preg. cream I went to high over the top of the range.  But

when this happened I was on Prog. cream.  My Dr. thinks it back filled into

Preg. because of all the CoQ10 I am on for Statin Drug damage to my joints and

muscles.

The thing that sucks is that aside from the heart issue, I felt a lot better

on aromasin too. Oh well, such is life I guess.

So do I it kills Aromatase so you do not come back as fast as you do with

arimidex not rebound effet so maybe all you need is it once in a week to 10

days. How long after taking it do you feel better.

I stick my anastrozole under my tongue and sometimes it goes to work within

a few minutes eliminating the really nasty symptoms first. Full effect takes

a few hours as it has to still absorb the rest through the gut and it takes

a little time for my own testosterone production to pick up.

I tend to go hypo when my estradiol goes up and killing the excess estradiol

with anastrozole tends to give a slight thyroid dump. Just like it gets into

my cells better and I don't feel hyper from this. Perhaps that's what's

going on with you and it's possible to drop thyroid down a bit before trying

an aromatase inhibitor so free T3 drops down a bit.

Maybe your doctor can help on that... I mean, I can't tell you what to do.

Mike, do you metabolise drugs unusually quick?

I clear through things very quickly. Per symptoms, steroids like Medrol and

Florinef don't even last a full work day and HC is only working for me for

about three hours and then it's quite simply left for good from my body. I

also clear out T4 unusually quick and think I convert most of a dose over to

T3 within a couple days.

I'm also particularly sensitive to certain hormones or drugs peaking very

soon and causing excess symptoms at first. This is mostly why I take .125 mg

doses of anastrozole. For the first few hours after taking it I'm actually

too low only to go up to about optimal a few hours later. Then I'm fairly

stable for about a day, feel good and then I'm too high all too soon. I

wonder if the drug hitting the body all at once causes things to go awry.
