Hello all.... what a great group with a wealth of information... sometimes too

much to keep on top of.

Wanted to share some information and perhaps get some feedback from the

knowledgeable people here.

I am a fairly healthy 44 year old male who has been having issues with ED over

the past few years. I finally made plans to get bloodwork done as I had

suspected low T levels based on everything I had read to date.

My results came back as follows, we are in Canada here so excuse if the units

are not the same as most are used to.

Testosterone 14.5 nmol/L (8-38nmol/L)

Free Testosterone 33.9 pmol/L (25-80pmol/L)

SHBG 21 nmol/L (12-71 nmol/L)

Calculated f-T approx 375

Prolactin 7 (<18ug/L)

LH 3 IU/L ( 1-9 IU/L)

DHEAS 6.7 umol/L (2.41-11.6umol/L)

My Doctor suggested all the numbers came back normal and did not offer any

treatment plan besides Cialis and Levitra. Unfortunately this would not do much

for the lack of energy, lack of focus as well as the ED, so I pressed him and

suggested that based on the info I had collected my T count seemed low.

He has agreed to try a 3 month trial of Androgel 1% (5 gram daily)to see if

there is any improvement.

Before I start this, I just wanted to perhaps see if there was something in my

results that would suggest differently ?

I also have questions about starting this TRT.

- will the three month trial likely suppress all my natural testosterone

production ?

- will my natural testosterone production come back once I have stopped this

trial ?

- we have not yet tested for estrodial (E2), and have read that this could be a

problem in low T ?

- is there something i should look at prior to commencing with Androgel ?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Chris
