Guest guest
Hi Phil, hello everybody After 2 years in hands of an urologist who kept me on 200mg T shots every week that raised my T levels to around 750 only, I made the decision to try by myself. January 26/10 I started doing 100mg T shots weekly and 250 UI's HCG on days 5 and 6. I also started 1 DIM tablet a day. The first 2 weeks I felt a notable improvement in my libido and sexual function, but it disappeared in the subsequent weeks. I guess my E-2 was high already and it skyrocketed by adding HCG, and DIM has not been enough to drop it. Last week I asked my family doctor to help me and he ordered some lab tests, but not all the ones that should be done. Impossible to convince him how important is to test E-2, SHBG, Free T, etc. I do my T shot every Tuesday, so the doctor ordered to do the lab test last Friday, just when T levels were reaching its peak. Well, he jus called me today, alarmed because: 1) my total T is 1069, " too high " for a 281-827 lab's range in a public hospital; 2) blood test shows something is wrong with my liver; 3) He say high testosterone could be affecting my liver. He want me lower my T levels to around 800, so told me to do 100mg Testo EVERY 2 WEEKS AND STOP HCG SHOTS. He is going to order an MRI of my liver and another MRI to check my pituitary. After 2 years on testosterone therapy, I don't know whether checking my pituitary can make a difference. I know the doctor is worried about my liver and try to do what he think is right, butI think he is not focusing the problem correctly. I suspect my main problem is convertion of testosterone to estrogen, but no test was done on this matter. I going to test my E-2 ASAP to make sure if I need to take Arimidex or not. Probably I must lower my T dose, but I'm skeptical about 100mg every 2 weeks is the right one, it will make me crash. I don't know whether stop HCG shots since I'm sure it helped me to rise my total T to 1069, a scary number for my doctor. Do you think this reading (1069) is realy too high considering the blood test was done midweek, I mean, 3 days after my T shot? Should I listen to my doctor and do only 100mg T every 2 weeks, or must still in both testosterone and HCG at lower dose? What dose do you sugest? If I still on HCG, could it affect my pituitary MRI results? What have you heard about testosterone affecting the liver?. Thank for your opinion and advice. Sorry I can't post my lab results, I don't get it yet. Again, excuse my English. Thanks.
