Guest guest
Hey all. From what ive read most BAT (bioavailable testosterone)level are calculated and not actually measured. A few labs measure the actual level but there are questions about wether this is realiable or not in the first place. This means most of our results in BAT levels would be calculated results. But no lab that i know of take DHT into the calculation. We know DHT binds more strongly than other hormones T e2 and more to SHBG yet the labs dont even require to know the DHT level when calculating BAT levels, how can this be? If you have alot of dht for instance like i do wouldent my " real " BAT lelvel be higher than a person with low DHT considering my shbg would be bound to more DHT thus leaving the T free in the blood when comparing to the person with less DHT who has more free shbg to bind up the T so to speak? Free shbg yeah well you know what i mean. How can this lab be reliable at all or is DHT only in such small numbers that it doesent really matter in the equation?
