Guest guest
Does anyone know about this new medication? It was just approved the end of December. It is 2x's as strong as Androgel. The directions say the dosage is 1-7 pumps on the inner thighs daily. Normal starting dose is 4 pumps. Both my husband (androgel user), and my son (kleinfelter's - injection user) want to try it. I printed out the prescribing info and had them take it to their respective doctors. My husband's anti-aging doctor never heard of it, but said he would research it. We'll see what happens. Here's my concern: My son's doctor prescribed it, but in a stupid way, as far as I am concerned. He wrote rx's for injections, but cut the dose from 1 & 1/2 cc to 1/2 cc and wrote only 1 pump of the fortesta. I don't think that this is an equal dose to what he had, and I'm pretty darned sure that Blue Cross isn't going to pay for 2 types of test. Should I even fill this fortesta rx - which he wrote for only a month's supply instead of the 3 month that we send to Medco? Thanks, Pati
