Guest guest
hey everyone!! ii'm new to this site so i'd like to say hello and introduce myself. i am 34 and in the process of trying to get pregnant again after having a miscarriage in '05 and haven't had much success. not sure what is going on, whether it's my husband and possible low sperm volume or if it's me. all of my tests have come back normal though. all the docs say that my thyroid levels are fine but my PCPis willing to put me on armour to see if it will help my sxs and possible fertility issues. so, i am confused as to whether i should start thyroid hormone. my TSH has been anywhere from 2.41 to 3.31 since 2004; once it was 4.30 but that was 2 wks after my miscarriage in 2005; my last 2 results were 3.31 and 2.41 (2-07 and 3-07 respectively) . my FT3 has ranged from 280-330 with a range of 230-420 and FT4 has ranged from 1.1-1.5 with a range of 0.8-1.8. my ferritin continues to be low at 25. do you all think armour is a good choice given my FT3 and FT4 numbers? will my FT3 and FT4 go to high? or will the FT3 go too high since Armour has the T3 in there? do you think another thyroid hormone may be better to try? i'm just nervous to start this because every other doctor has said that my numbers are fine and because of the panic attacks and anxiety i experienced after starting thyroid meds 2 wks after my miscarriage. And i have not figured out whether the depression and panic were due to the levoxyl i tried after the miscarriage or post-miscarriage hormones?? thanks--palma --------------------------------- Need Mail bonding? Guest guest
I dealt with that problem too, and the doctor told me to stop trying to get pregnant. He told me all was o.k. with both of us. Well, one night we had gone to a party and I had a bit too much to drink, was really relaxed, and lo and behold A Son! Guest guest
Well personally I divide my tithe between a few different places. I really think that it's not where you give it but that you give it. Jesus preached to the Jews and Gentiles but that doesn't keep all people from receiving Him. Offerings are something you do on top of tithes. To me this doesn't have to be financial, but could be clothes or food or gas, whatever. If you can find a local church to give to that is great. Just let God speak to you about that. Also, there is a book called Supernatural Childbirth that is GREAT! Hope this helped. > > > > > hey everyone!! ii'm new to this site so i'd like to > > > say hello and introduce myself. i am 34 and in the > > > process of trying to get pregnant again after having > > > a miscarriage in '05 and haven't had much success. > > > not sure what is going on, whether it's my husband > > > and possible low sperm volume or if it's me. all of > > > my tests have come back normal though. all the docs > > > say that my thyroid levels are fine but my PCPis > > > willing to put me on armour to see if it will help > > > my sxs and possible fertility issues. > > > > > > so, i am confused as to whether i should start > > > thyroid hormone. my TSH has been anywhere from 2.41 > > > to 3.31 since 2004; once it was 4.30 but that was 2 > > > wks after my miscarriage in 2005; my last 2 results > > > were 3.31 and 2.41 (2-07 and 3-07 respectively) . my > > > FT3 has ranged from 280-330 with a range of 230-420 > > > and FT4 has ranged from 1.1-1.5 with a range of > > > 0.8-1.8. my ferritin continues to be low at 25. do > > > you all think armour is a good choice given my FT3 > > > and FT4 numbers? will my FT3 and FT4 go to high? or > > > will the FT3 go too high since Armour has the T3 in > > > there? do you think another thyroid hormone may be > > > better to try? i'm just nervous to start this > > > because every other doctor has said that my numbers > > > are fine and because of the panic attacks and > > > anxiety i experienced after starting thyroid meds 2 > > > wks after my miscarriage. Guest guest
Well tithing requires faith that God is your provider. I've always told people to try it for a few months and see if God works. I'm sure He will. The first time i tithed, my check went up over 100.00 dollars a month. It's the first tenth so if you make 100.00 before taxes you'll give 10.00. My husband and I have 5 kids with no government help so I know all too well about limited resources! > > > hey everyone!! ii'm new to this site so i'd like to > > say hello and introduce myself. i am 34 and in the > > process of trying to get pregnant again after having > > a miscarriage in '05 and haven't had much success. > > not sure what is going on, whether it's my husband > > and possible low sperm volume or if it's me. all of > > my tests have come back normal though. all the docs > > say that my thyroid levels are fine but my PCPis > > willing to put me on armour to see if it will help > > my sxs and possible fertility issues. > > > > so, i am confused as to whether i should start > > thyroid hormone. my TSH has been anywhere from 2.41 > > to 3.31 since 2004; once it was 4.30 but that was 2 > > wks after my miscarriage in 2005; my last 2 results > > were 3.31 and 2.41 (2-07 and 3-07 respectively) . my > > FT3 has ranged from 280-330 with a range of 230-420 > > and FT4 has ranged from 1.1-1.5 with a range of > > 0.8-1.8. my ferritin continues to be low at 25. do > > you all think armour is a good choice given my FT3 > > and FT4 numbers? will my FT3 and FT4 go to high? or > > will the FT3 go too high since Armour has the T3 in > > there? do you think another thyroid hormone may be > > better to try? i'm just nervous to start this > > because every other doctor has said that my numbers > > are fine and because of the panic attacks and > > anxiety i experienced after starting thyroid meds 2 > > wks after my miscarriage. Guest guest
> > Hello everyone, ==>Hello . Welcome to our group. > > I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to get serious about my candida problem and then talked myself out of it (mainly because I'm not a big meat eater and am afraid of the die off reactions). But it has finally gotten to the point that I can't ignore it any longer. My two daughters (2.5 and 4 months) deserve a capable mom and my husband deserves a wife, and most importantly, I need to live a full life! Plus, my last pregnancy really took it out of me. My symptoms have increased and I've gotten whole new ones. ==>That's wonderful you've made the decision to handle candida ! That IS the first step. > > The good thing is, I had my husband read the protocol and some of Bee's articles and he is going to help me stay on track and support me through this. ==>You are so fortunate to have a supportive hubby. Kudos to him too! > > We don't have very good health foods stores or anything around here. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good online source for coconut oil? I use Puritan's Pride for other supplements...is that okay? ==>The best online source for good coconut oil is through my website. Click on it to buy coconut oil and other helpful products so I get the credit, which helps support my website: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/index.php ==>Buy only the " Unrefined " coconut oil, which is $28.00 per gallon plus shipping - it is the very best buy! Coconut oil keeps for 2 years at room temperature. See this article for Products Recommended, including coconut oil and where to find it on their website: http://tinyurl.com/2g7eob ==>As with buying any coconut oil it MUST be expeller or cold pressed, unrefined, undeoderized, unbleached and not heated to high temperatures. Saved my life. literally, but not good for my body either! I still have damage from the lyme (some may be permanent but I haven't accepted that yet) and I'm hoping to restabalize my immune system along with regaining muscle strength, stamina, etc. Dealing with all of the pathogens that had a party while I was sick has also affected my recovery. I've turned the Titanic around but I still have a way to go. > > I've been slowly digesting info from the site, the questions, and answers. When I was sick and before my diagnosis I already had a diagnosed systemic yeast infection - imagine what the antibiotics did. +++Hi Beth. We all understand how horrible it is to get sicker and sicker, mainly due to antibiotics. However, it is rare to have systemic yeast infection, although doctors and alternative health practitioners often make that mistake. If you actually " had " systemic yeast you'd be so sick you'd have to be in intensive care. The mistake is made because they do not understand how much damage is done by yeast toxins, which circulate throughout the body. I knew a lady who had brain lesions caused by the toxins, but after doing the candida program for 2 years, they were gone. > > Aside from this Christmas holiday at my moms and a few slips here and there I have gotten away from processed foods and fast food for the most part. I had quit sodas and slipped back into it a few weeks ago so I'll be stopping those again. It took about 6 months or so of changing one food at a time for me and the kids to get to where we are now (dh rebelled a few months ago, in a nice way, and has his own stash of trashy junk food with trans fats and msg). I mainly started choosing organics from what we eat most and went from there, avoiding excitotoxins such as msg, high fructose corn syrup, and other food additives (including hidden trans fats). It takes a lot of time, focus, and energy that I don't have to prepare so much from scratch but that's my focus right now. +++You have made a real good start. Good for you! > > I am already taking cod liver oil, use coconut oil for cooking, take Vitamin D (dr checked my levels), DHEA, magnesium, and something called Adapt for adrenal fatigue. I also take tincture of Teasel Root to help with my lyme brain. Sometimes I take enzymatic therapy's enteric coated garlic pills if I feel something coming on. I use real butter (organic) also. I've never really had a sweet tooth but am more of a carb-addict. +++Carbs are any foods not classified as protein or fat, and they are turn into glucose, so if you are a carb-addict that is your " sweet tooth " causing problems. > > * I appreciate this group and all of the collective knowledge, along with Bee's knowledge, that is shared in the spirit of helping others recover their health. I haven't done a " systematic " recovery plan; mainly just trying to tread water and am considering the 9 Day Plan to jump start after next week. I eat some fermented foods (commercial sauerkraut and water kefir I make at home) and take probiotics when I remember. Should I stop those until I reach that point per your program? +++The only good sauerkraut is unpasteurized (or homemade) and kept in the fridge at the health store. Yes, you should stop taking probiotics until later in the program. You should also stop other supplements that are not included on my program, and ensure you are taking all of the supplements recommended. All of the nutrients on this program work together to build up the immune system, so do not leave any out. +++We are here to help and support you so you " too " can get well. Guest guest
Conventional treatment for Pancreatic cancer is totally ineffective as is true with most other forms of cancer because the cause of the condition is not addressed. Scientists are still looking for a cootie when, in reality, cancer is Nature's way of telling you that you are not following her rules. Diet and personal hygiene are the key. Cancer is curable. Not 5 year survival rates, but real long term cures! Modern medicine is ignoring this little-publicized fact which permits them to continue to exploit and even promote diseases of all types. Modern medicine exists not for your health, but for your money. Dr. Mathias Rath filed a complaint in the World Court at the Hague in June of 2003 accusing the pharmaceutical industry of mass genocide. http://www4.dr-rath-foundation.org/The_Hague/complaint/index.html Kelley, DDS had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and he discovered the work of Dr. Beard, professor of Embryology at the University of Edinburgh, who published a treatise in 1903 claiming that them mechanism of tumor formation and the construction of a placenta were the same and that the embryonic stem cell becomes a trophoblastic cell which constructs the encapsulation for both a placenta and a tumor in exactly the same manner. Dr. Kelley developed a diet concentrating upon using supplemental digestive enzymes along with raw vegetables of high mineral content which today are found in organically grown crops. Not only did he cure himself of PC, he wrote a book that allowed over 30,000 other to do the same. His book is now in the Public Domain and can be downloaded for free at: http://www.whale.to/a/kelley1.html Tumor formation is a protection mechanism built into our bodies. Tumors form to wall off accumulated trash and toxins that the body failed to eliminate. Without the tumor, the rotting tissues would spread rapidly just as does a fungus when it attacks a fruit. Removing tumors often results in their recurrence and when they come back, they return with a vengeance. I personally know a woman who had PC and was on the brink of death. She received some advice from someone she knew (hint) and followed the program as spelled out in Dr. Kelley's book. Her initial diagnosis was 38 months ago. She is back to work as a nurse in a nursing home and at her last check up, no signs of cancer were found. I do not fear this disease. I know what it is and I know how to get rid of it. You can do the same. For further info Google search Carmi Hazen > > I joined the group because I am looking for ways to implement the > candida diet. Guest guest
Hi , I'm Sharon. May God give you peace and comfort. You have had a long and arduous journey. We are here for you. May I ask what Genotype you are? Also, what lead you to do the treatments you choose? Are you on a transplant list? I work in the lab. If anyone has lab related questions I would be happy to reply. -- [ ] Intro I may have introduced myself; I don’t remember. My name is , and I have Hep C as well as Non-alcoholic Steatosis. I grew up in Michigan. I did any and every drug I could get my hands on for many years, and found my way to 12 Step recovery 20 years ago. IV cocaine was my drug of choice when I went to treatment, but I wasn’t picky- I’d do anything and everything. When I got clean and sober I went back to school and earned a Master’s Degree in Addiction Psychology. I worked as a substance abuse counselor and a family therapist for about 12 years. I also taught psych at the local community college. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with Hep C. I started treatment right away as the doctor recommended. I was told that at least the treatment would slow the progression of the disease process. Unfortunately, I also heard the doc say that in very rare cases, the virus mutates and gets worse. I was one of those. Currently I am undergoing my third treatment. This is with Infergen, a daily injection of interferon in addition to the ribavirin. I started last March and will go until July 31st or 72 weeks. I have also developed hepatic encephalopathy; I posted a link earlier or tell me if I didn’t. This does neurological damage. In chronic form (which I have) the damage is permanent, and can lead to irreversible coma and death. My symptoms include memory problems, tremors, difficulty with speech, problems with balance etc. All this is getting worse, and I’m scared. Guest guest
I am genotype 1a, but it seems to have mutated. I’m not currently on a transplant list. My liver doc says that if I can clear the virus, I have only a 20% chance of needing a transplant, so we’re waiting to see. As I told Don, I believe in God, but I also believe that God gave us medicine, which is still more of an art, not so much a science. Medicine should make sense, and if it doesn’t, people should seek a 2nd opinion, ask lots of questions. Through my own studies, I have come to understand the wonderful order and organization that God built this Universe with. As a 12 Stepper, I look at Step Two, which states that we ”came to believe” that something greater than ourselves can help. Doctors have greater knowledge than me, though not all of them graduated at the top of their class. Treatment with interferon and ribavirin have been shown to be the most effective way of treating Hep C. Up to this point in time, anyway. Belief is not the same as Faith- belief implies that there is evidence. I do not see why faith cannot stand up to testing, in fact it does. Many studies have shown the effectiveness of prayer, and faith. I have a very good hepatologist, internist and psychiatrist but I do not forget to include God as part of my team. My wife is a nurse (albeit a pediatric nurse) so I’m lucky to have my own source of medical knowledge. I also believe in doing my own research. Guest guest
oh yes. remembering to pay bills...being able to organize my thoughts...being able to see more than one thing to do a day....planning a future and being able to carry it out. that's nice. that's different than it was before. brain fog is huge and people who haven't experienced it think we are nuts or incompetent losers. so good luck! what are you taking? what are you eating? i've used muscle testing also. couldn't believe it worked at first. the body and mind are amazing. From: Tracey <elmo2200elmo2200@...> Subject: Intro candidiasis Date: Monday, March 16, 2009, 11:06 PM Wow, you guys know so much more than I do. I have been learning and treating myself for 6 months. I was so bad that I often couldn't speak and could only move my head. I didn't even think I really had a problem!!! My husband would just poke fun at me when I would grunt instead of speaking. Crazy. Anyway, I have been following candida diets and taking lots of nutritional supplements. I can't find a doctor my insurance will pay for so I have been using muscle testing and have been pleased with the results. The last two weeks I have been able to cook good dinners and clean the kitchen afterward. The other day I went to the bank and remembered my account number! These are major accomplishments for me. I am really improving with the ADD type stuff too. I used to ask my kids to use 7 words or less. Much more than that and I would get lost. Do you guys know where I'm coming from? It would be nice to know other people who understand that such small things can be huge. Tracey Pequeno
Guest guest
>Hi Sheila; I was diagnosed on 3/30 with AIH. I'm 49 and my first syptom was itching. Started with my feet and then it was just EVERYWHERE! So glad to finally be relieved of that. My GI said that the treatment for AIH is Prednisone initally and then he hopes to take me off of that and put me on Imuran (fewer side effects supposedely). What are your liver function numbers, if you don't mind me asking. Mine were quite high, according to my doctor. On 3/30 my AST was 1095, ALT 1578 and Bilirubin 12.7. Went last Friday (4/17) and my AST is at 38, ALT 129, Bilirubin 1.7. So I'm pleased with how they are improving. Hope to get off the Prednisone soon. I miss my occassional margarita too! Like you, I don't have a drinking problem, other than I enjoy adult beverages. My husband and I like to tour wineries, and brew pubs so that really takes the fun out of that. Now it seems like all I do is research this crazy disease and try to find foods that are good for me to eat. I had some really bad eating habits and have had to totally change the way I eat. I'd already committed to losing weight as my 50th birthday comes in August. So this has given me a kick in the pants to get it done. I believe my trigger was stress and a lot of it in December, January and February. There has to be something that causes this. If your doctor has any insight I'd like to hear back from you. I kind of liked my life the way it was, but these are the cards I've been dealt! Keep us posted on your progess and your appointments. Sorry I can't help you with the question of the uncertain future because I'm a newbie too! Take care, Robyn > Heya folks! My name is Sheila and I was diagnosed last week with AIH/PBC overlap syndrome. My first high liver function test was 3 years ago with my family physician. He said to come back in 6 months & have it rechecked. Feeling fine & being a busy working single mother; I blew it off. Then last year I had an irregular menstrual cycle(still feeling fine), which made me go in and have a routine physical done with a PA. Again....high liver functions. She referred me to a family physician, who ordered some more tests(scans), etc. and finally I was referred to an endocrinologist last month when my lab results weren't improving at all. He did the biopsy, threw a bunch of big words at me( my diagnosis), said I could either take some meds or so to a hepatologist for a 2nd opinion and asked if I had any questions. I couldn't even understand his language, let alone ask any questions! So, of course I am going to the hepatologist in a couple weeks AND taking the meds(Ursodiol and Entocort EC). Because now that I have done some online research on these diseases and beginning to understand what is going on in my body(so THIS is why my feet and ankles have been itching for months!!), I have questions! Guest guest
Hi Sheila my name is and I have AIH. I was diagnosed in 1996. By the time I made it to a specialist I was very sick. I was put on Imuran, Prednisone and Actigal for the itching. We all have different stories and experiences. There are some on here who have the AIH/PBC combo and I am sure you will hear from them. When you go to the new doctor you can ask them about what stage you are in as the biopsy results should tell them. Any questions you think of write them down so you don't forget during the appointment. Some of us keep a notebook to record our labs and information so we know what works for us and what doesn't. The notebook also makes it easier to keep track of how you are doing. When you go to the doctor for appointments you can write down the information into the book and if there was something you wanted to ask about or you thought was " strange " you will have the notes to refresh your memory. I hope this helps a little. Ask anything you want to know. We are all more than willing to help answer any questions you might have. Guest guest
Oh Prayers are with you and I hope you get well! i am 14 now and dealing with Lyme stuff so i know how it must have been for you to be a sick teen and young adult! Get well and thoughts and prayers are with you! Elaina From: raven_starke2002 <raven_starke2002@...> Subject: [ ] intro Date: Monday, September 14, 2009, 9:49 AM Hello, my name is . I live in chester county, Pa. In late 1991, when I was 13, I had the bulls eye rash, my mom took me to the 2 nurses that lived down the street and they both said they didn't know what it was. We went to the family doctor and he didn't either but prescribed an ointment to put on it. It eventually went away and was forgotten although I was increasingly fatigued and stiff. Then one day I got up for school and my legs gave out from under me, I stayed home from school and a few days later my knee swelled. My doctor sent me to a sports medicine type doctor that drained my knee (I found out later that he had sent something off to be tested for lyme not sure if he had taken blood, can't remember, but heard nothing of it....maybe false negative?) It wasn't until early 1993 that I got sent to an infectious disease specialist that diagnosed me with lyme. She put me on doxycycline that upset my stomach so she was going to do IV rosephin but I was allergic, so back to the doxycycline. Since then I have been tested and re-diagnosed and treated dozens of times. I've been on tetracycline, cipro and countless others. Due to lapses in insurance, keeping/having a detailed record is impossible and causes new doctors to start from square one. Plus my current PCP doesn't believe in chronic lyme(over time I'm sure I could convince her if she spent more then 10 minutes in the room with me and didn't treat me like a hypochondriac) . My current symptoms are mostly cognitive and cause me to be mentally exhausted at the end of the day. I do still have numbness and pain, swelling and stiffness too but that is much easier to manage. I'm hoping to find a PCP that isn't so quick to dismiss me as a hypochondriac. My story is a long one so I don't want to throw it all out there at once, I know I couldn't read an e-mail that long, And am sorry this one is as long as it is...LOL. Thanks for letting me join and I hope to help as well as be helped.
Guest guest
Welcome , I'm so sorry to hear about your lonnnng ordeal and hope you can find a PCP who will be helpful rather than dismissive. This is a great group - it's not only been very informative for me, but nice to have a group who really understands the ordeal of lyme. Guest guest
Welcome to you, . Sorry you had to find us, but glad you're here. I never had a lyme dx when I was a kid, but since the dx that I did get (in 2000, at age 32), my family has wondered about some of the symptoms I had " back when " . My problem is the opposite of yours now (though it used to be the same): my doctor wants to pin everything wrong on Lyme, without properly recording things in my chart or investigating to see if something else is going on. So far, I've proven myself right every time I've asked for an X-ray or other test, so his attitude may change soon. My cognitive impairment seems to be " stable " ; it hasn't changed at all since my treatments in 2000 and 2001. I guess that's something anyway. I'll keep this brief, since I agree about the long emails (though I'm frequently guilty of writing them myself). LOL. > > Hello, my name is . We went to the family doctor and he didn't either but prescribed an ointment to put on it. It eventually went away and was forgotten although I was increasingly fatigued and stiff. > > Then one day I got up for school and my legs gave out from under me, I stayed home from school and a few days later my knee swelled. My doctor sent me to a sports medicine type doctor that drained my knee (I found out later that he had sent something off to be tested for lyme not sure if he had taken blood, can't remember, but heard nothing of it....maybe false negative?) > > It wasn't until early 1993 that I got sent to an infectious disease specialist that diagnosed me with lyme. I've been on tetracycline, cipro and countless others. Due to lapses in insurance, keeping/having a detailed record is impossible and causes new doctors to start from square one. Plus my current PCP doesn't believe in chronic lyme(over time I'm sure I could convince her if she spent more then 10 minutes in the room with me and didn't treat me like a hypochondriac). > > My current symptoms are mostly cognitive and cause me to be mentally exhausted at the end of the day.
