Guest guest
Thanks to Phil for the welcome. I am more of a lurker than poster so please excuse my random appearances. I am curious about the relationship of testosterone levels to exercise and physical training. I have been getting myself back into shape (gingerly because of testes pain issues)and training hard. In a body training exercise site there was mention about the body testosterone levels and how they naturally increase with increased physcial conditioning as the body requires this. Now, how does this relate to the male that is on TRT and his T levels? I was last tested (before training) at 660 ng/ dL at the end of the weekly injection cycle thus the T is at a good level. If I were to train hard would the level go down due to increased demand of T by the body? I simply look to keep my body T at optimum levels...not more than is required as typical of steroid abusers nor less than is needed for health. Do I need to increase my T injection amounts? Leave it well alone or? thanks Ron
Guest guest
Ron being on TRT your testis are shut down from making Testosterone they will not get the message from your pituitary to make T the message being LH and FSH most men testing on TRT this is very low this is why we add HCG it acts like the LH message and keeps your testis working the best they can. As for eating up your added Testosterone levels exercising hard it can happen only way to tell is check your levels but don't workout 48 hrs before your labs do you labs the day of your next shot if your doing shots if your doing gels or creams do labs before putting them on or do your labs 6 hrs later but don't get the gel or cream on the area they take the blood from. As for you levels most men don't do well this low my labs top of range is 1100 my levels for Total T are 850 I try to stay between 700 to 900 to feel better if I go as low as you are the Testosterone dose not support my joints and muscles. And I have pain. I work out doing every muscle group Mon. Wed and Fri. for about 90 min.'s doing 10 reps 3 sets of each. I worm up on the Cross Trainer 20 min's first. I work out on Machines that take a card that sets your load, reps and sets for each machine. It's about 12 machines total I keep track on how I am feeling there are days I need to back off I also have low cortisol levels and working out lowers them. I have yet to see my labs go up or down working out. In a study some time ago I read bodybuilders that work out 5 days a week end up with lower T levels and them men are not on TRT there avg. was about 450 to 550. A lot of young men come here or to my Thyroid Adrenal Forum very sick from over training they end up with low Testosterone, Cortisol and some with low Thyroid. So listen to your body give it time to recover and you should do well.
