Guest guest
After repleting my vitamin D levels and holding at 10,000 ius for a long time my levels are mantaining a good levels of upper 70 range which is fanastic. A few weeks ago I started to get plantar warts on my feet which i never had before in my life. I was like WTF. I took my girl to the foot dr and just asked out of curosity is there a way to get rid of them. He told me of a old remedy of 100,000 ius of vitamin A for 1 month then drop down to 50,000ius then 25,000ius. This got me thinking. About 3 months ago I switch multivitamin to one of the best puriest on the market no fllers ect. On the label it noted 15,000 ius of betacarotine. I was like mother..the dr information made sense and it also explained why my night vision has been getting worse bumping into this things when i to take a piss during the night. Having thyroid condition and liver imbalances does not allow my body to convert betacarotine to vitamin A like a healthy person. Now this brings me to another interesting point that about vitamin A and pregenolone. Here is a research I saw about vitamin A can help with steroid biogenisis. Note we have seen a drastic drop 30-40% in retinol A serum with people on aggressive vitamin D therapy. Majority of people treated commonly have low thyroid symptoms or being treat with thyroid medication. Since following the dr's suggestion over the past few months my warts have just about disappeared. The proper ratio of vitamin A (not betacarotine) to vitamin D is 6-10:1 ratio which appears to be optimal. So i HCG needed or optimal vitamin A to keep steroid biogenisis in proper line. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti...00756-0147.pdf http://www.ajcn.org/content/9/4/27.full.pdf
Guest guest
One of the foremost vitamin D researchers, Dr. Hollick, recommends limiting vitamin A to 3000 units a day. That's the retinol form, not beta carotene for which there is no limit. He doesn't explain exactly why, but apparently there is some competition between vitamin A and vitamin D, perhaps something like the zinc/copper thing, so that too much vitamin A inhibits absorption of vitamin D. Perhaps vice versa is also true. So you may have a balancing act to do before it's over. I only take 2000 IU of vitamin D, and that puts me in the mid-40's for 25-hydroxy vitamin D. They say you get about 10 points on the test for every 1000 IU additional vitamin D. Does that sound right for someone without other issues? > > After repleting my vitamin D levels and holding at 10,000 ius for a long time my levels are mantaining a good levels of upper 70 range which is fanastic. Guest guest
Hi Hard Glad you got those plantar warts sorted. Couple of questions if I may Which multi did you chose and why? Just so that I understand, I am on 6,000ius VitD then I should take between 36,000ius to 60,000ius of Vitamin A? What form of Vit A do you recommend? I have just had a Vit A blood test done and am waiting for the results. Do you know if Vit K has a relationship with both Vit D and Vit A and supplementing Vit K is required to keep balance right if supplementing Vit D and maybe Vit A? Kind regards Wayne > > After repleting my vitamin D levels and holding at 10,000 ius for a long time my levels are mantaining a good levels of upper 70 range which is fanastic.
