Dear fellow members,

I have a question regarding diagnosis of hypogonadism. I have an appointement

to see a specialist at end of June. I was referred for a clomiphene stimulation

test during which i had to take 25 mg of clomiphene for 7 days and then had the

following tests. Here are the results:

SHBG 30 nmol/l (12-46)

Estradiol 232 pmol/l (95-230)

Testosterone total 26.8 nmol/l (10-38.5)

Prolactin 6.4 (2.6-13.1)

LH 3.7 IU/L (2.5-16.3)

FSH 6.3 IU/L (1.2-18.5)

For comparison purposes, here are my tests without clomiphene, done in January

2010:

Estradiol 121 (95-230)

LH 2.9 (2.5-16.3)

FSH 4.4 (1.2-18.5)

Total testosterone 19.5 (10-38.5)

My quesion is: do my results following clomiphene stimulation test confirm that

i have hypogonadism? If yes, how do i get treated for it given the fact that i

have high level of estrogen? If i get presribed HCG shots, my estrogen will

likely to increase as well.

FYI, I am 37 year old, also have low cortisol and low thyroid issues, low

thyroid is not normalized at the moment, can not tolerate needed amount of

thyroid meds, i am working in that area at the moment.

Thanks in advance for your input and advice,

Mark
