Guest guest
First, you need to know WHY I started T. I was feeling lousy and no one could put a finger on the reason. My T was 142 / 54.4 so my Dr. started T therapy. ..4 of T Cypionate self injection every week. Immediately I began to feel better and at the end of 8 weeks my T was 620 and PSA still 0. Why was my T low? Lots of reasons. Age: 80; Prostate Cancer at age 68 with successful prostatectomy (PSA 0.00 ever since); Very high stress due to wife's illness (primary care taker); 4 stents in coronary artery; no sexual activity due to wife's illness. What else does a guy need to experience to drive him into Hypogonadism?? Cardiologist said don't do T. Urologist initially said don't do T. Endocrinologist said doing T won't help anything. Primary Internist said do it, it will help. After reviewing it with him and trying to convince him that I didn't want to do it, he convinced not only me but my other doctors as well that I needed it. Here I am about 12 weeks into t therapy with sexual feelings and wood I haven't experienced in 12 years. Feeling well otherwise. Aches and pains almost all gone. Positive mental outlook. Dr. reduced T injections from once a week to once every other week. Now I'm swimming at the YMCA three times a week and my body is beginning to respond positively. Belly fat beginning to recede. Lost three inches around waist. Chest=43, Waist=38-39,Height=5'7 " , Weight 161 (still too much. Put on 3 lbs when I started t therapy but can't seem to lose it.) So far I've seen no adverse effects other than that I now crave sex and my wife is not capable any more. Frustrated. Dr will be monitoring Estradiol and other guidelines.
