Guest guest
I have read more than once that anyone taking zinc supplements--which I think may help with insulin sensitivity, and prostate problems--will experience a reduction in copper levels. So you need to take a copper supplement (say 3 mg) to restore that loss. I've looked in Rite-Aid, Wal-Mart and one or two other chain pharmacies, but don't find copper alone. Just one product combining " Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc and Copper. " But it gave 100% RDA of the other minerals, while only 50% RDA of the copper (1mg). To get the 3mg I find I need--RDA's are often too low--I'd need to take three times the RDA for these other minerals!!!! My multivit/mineral pill also already gives me 100% RDA of zinc but only 35% of copper. Does anyone know a chain that stocks plain(?) copper tablets--or how else are people dealing with this need? Thanks, -______________________________________________________________________
