Guest guest
I am also Secondary due to a head injury from an Auto Accident some 30 yrs. ago. My blood levels have always been on the upper end of my labs range. Hemoglobin 18.4 high range 13.2 – 17.1 g/dL. Note: high due to Dehydration from low Aldosterone. Hematocrit 54.3 high range 38.5 – 50.0 %. Note: high due to Dehydration from low Aldosterone. If your Secondary what eles do you have to treat my Pituitary dose not tell my body to make Testosterone, Cortisol, Thyroid and my Ferritin levels have always been low and I don't give blood. My Dr. says my Hemoglobin and Hematocrit are on the high side due to low Aldosterone and the need to take Florinef for this problem. You should have this tested. http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/aldosterone/test.html And read this link about it my body dumps my sodium and I need to add Sea Salt to my water all day long. http://www.tuberose.com/Adrenal_Glands.html We have a few men here on Clomid long term but you need to know it is not meant for long term use. It as sides that are like PMS in women and Eye Flooters. I don't know how to tell you to try this but if you search the messages maybe you can find posts from men using it. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19694928 And 28 months ago I had Heart Bypass Surgery and even my Heart Dr. is not worried about my high blood levels. He has me take a baby asprin 2x's / day. As for HCG you can buy all you need off the web from the ADC. http://www.alldaychemist.com/688-hucog-2000-iu-.html The premixed Hucog 2000 IU's doing a 100 IU's shot everyday subQ would last you 20 days guys buy this 6 to 10 vials at a time the diet people say is works great. Guest guest
Hi. What was your ferritin level down to? What type of iron are you on? Like Phil mentioned, dehydration will raise hematocrit. -Nigel On 7 February 2011 02:42, zorroceasar <zorroceasar@...> wrote: > > > Hi 53 year old male ,not fat, fit. > I am on weekly testosterone injections for low T. > Secondary hypogonadism with no known cause. > Have 3 children oldest 30 years so this was late onset hypogonadism. > Inject 80 mg per week and HCG 2 X 250IU. > Been on this regimen for 7 years now. > > Donate blood every month to keep high hematocrit down. > But with this monthly donations there is a downside. > Hematocrit is about 51% but now my ferritin levels(iron stores) > are constantly low.Are on iron pills but even with that stores will take > very long time to pick up. >
Guest guest
Hi I am not sure but the ferritin levels are very low. Its not even on the bottom end of the scale the lab works on , its lower than that, almost non existent. Its not from dehydration. I force myself to drink a lot of water on the day they test it. It is purely from giving too much blood in a certian period of time. Here is what happens to me I need to have testosterone because of a low T reading. I give myself the T injections but now as a side effect 4 % of men get elevated hematocrit levels (too much red cells). To keep the blood thinner I have to donate blood to lower the hematocrit but now from giving blood that much my body has to make new blood almost constantly. For that it need a lot of iron and it depletes my iron stores (ferritin) that is stored in my body. I have constant body aches being low on ferritin. I use one tablet of ferrous sulp (iron) per day and eat a lot of red meat and liver along with vit C to help with absorbtion of the iron I supplement. I want to go the Clomid route because I tried to lower my T injections in half to 40 mg T per week for 2 months. This caused met starting feeling bad ,low energy again. I tried to order HCG from overseas twice but customs took it so I have only one choice left. Trying Clomid that is available as a generid here legally. > > > > > > > Hi 53 year old male ,not fat, fit. > > Hematocrit is about 51% but now my ferritin levels(iron stores) > > are constantly low.Are on iron pills but even with that stores will take > > very long time to pick up. > > > > >
Guest guest
Here are some things you can try to keep your blood thinner. Try doing your Test C shot every 3 days doing this the shot is not do big and helps keep one leveled plus it helps keep Estradiol levels down. Seven yrs. ago I read Dr. Shippen now does his shots this way but subQ I do mine IM into my thigh. As for Iron pills I found this brand to be the best for me. I just order a box of 100 for $25.00 I was taking one tablet 2x's per day with this Vit.C. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en & lr= & q=Cypress+Ferrous-Fumarate-324-m & aq=f & aqi\ = & aql= & oq= http://www.myvitanet.com/supbiocbuf36.html There is a new pill coming out that works like clomid but much better for men that are seconday I can't remember the name of it but I think it's coming out this yr. I think it's called Androxal®. http://www.reprosrx.com/androxal.html Co-Moderator Phil > From: zorroceasar <zorroceasar@...> > Subject: Re: Clomid long term use for secondary hypo ? > > Date: Tuesday, February 8, 2011, 6:22 AM > > Hi I am not sure but the ferritin levels are very low. > Its not even on the bottom end of the scale the lab works > on , its lower than that, almost non existent. > Its not from dehydration. Guest guest
Hi, ferrous sulphate isn't a very easily absorbed iron supplement. Iron bisglycinate works much better even with the same elemental iron dose. Many have found switching to a more absorbable form was what got their iron stores up. I'm not good with the above range blood counts and what that means, but it sounds odd that you're being drained so much. -Nigel On 8 February 2011 05:22, zorroceasar <zorroceasar@...> wrote: > > > > Hi I am not sure but the ferritin levels are very low. > Its not even on the bottom end of the scale the lab works on , its lower > than that, almost non existent. > Its not from dehydration.
