Hi JM and Welcome,

Your seeing a Uro is the problem they are not up on treating low testosterone.

Endo's are not good also so best thing you can do is find a new Dr.

We have a Database section you can look in for a Dr. in your area or drive to

see on close by.

And go to the files section and read the file " Finding A New Male Hormone Dr. "

then start calling Compounding Pharmacy's and ask for the names of Dr. in you

area that order from them Compounded Testosterone this works real good to find a

good Dr.

http://www.collegepharmacy.com/menshealth/andropause.asp

Then before you see one call and ask questions like how many men does he treat

for low Testosterone and dose he check for why one is low. Dose he test for

high levels of Estradiol and if one is high treat with Arimidex.

Your will know when you have a good one. A lot of men fly or drive out to see

Dr. at www.allthingsmale.com he only needs to see you once the rest he can

do by phone. If you go to his site read TRT: A Recipe for Success in this are

labs you need and why he puts this out there free for you and your Dr.

Try to figure out why your low before going on TRT it's for life. Things like a

testis infection, high Estradiol, high Iron, stress and the list goes on can

cause this and if you fix it levels can come back up.

Here are some links about this problem this is good that you’re here now you

need to learn about this problem before you see a new Dr. so you can tell if he

is up on this and your getting the best treatment one can get.

Thanks Phil for getting back to me so quickly...

I've read alot of this and I am so worried that my one good testicle can't

provide enough T.

The damaged one seems to be shrinking a bit and my urologist just isn't

concerned..

This is especially difficult since I don't know where to go and insurance may

not pay for some of the doctors that do hormone therapies..

I made an appt with a Dr ( dr john monaco, Glastonbury, ct) that seems to do all

the right tests, but has a high fee $395, not covered by insurance, for the

first visit.. Does that sound right?

Thanks,

-jm

Most of the good Dr.'s don't take insurance if this Dr. is up on low

Testosterone and treats a lot of men for it yes his price is good Dr. is

for ANTI-AGING CONSULTATION $495.00

All vists there after $60 not bad my Co-Pay is about this much when I avg. my

cost to see my Dr. with BCBS.

http://www.allthingsmale.com/consultations.html

But still if a Dr. does not take insurance one can still file a clam and get

some of the cost back from yoru Insurance.
