What happens if the Free T is extremely High

Hello All,

My T Levels are as shown below. This is tested after 1week of taking a 100MG

Depo Test shot.

Testosterone, Total 810 Ref Range: 250-1100 ng/dl

Testosterone, Free % 2.90 H Ref Range: 1.5 - 2.20 %

Testosterone Free 234.9 H Ref Range: 35.0 - 155.0PG/ml

What happens if my Free T levels are this high on a regular basis ? My Endo

recomanded me to take 50MG every 15days to avoid the Free T going this high. But

still the results are still high. See the results after 1 week of taking Depo

Testosterone Free 133.2 Ref Range: 35.0 - 155.0PG/ml

Immediately after taking the Test shots it takes me about a week to go high and

get my normal day and night erections. " Wood " like Phil says. I will be good for

about 2 - 3 weeks before going down. I like taking the 100MG shot better than

the 50MG shot. But I never had a roller coster effect.

Please advice.

100mg/week is a common starting dose. Your total T of 810 is not necessarily

too high and actually may not be optimally high enough.

This is bad advice to both reduce the dose and frequency of the shot.... you

will not have enough T and will swing from extremely low to moderate over

15-days. Another Endo that needs remedial education!

My advice (not a doctor) is to consider 100mg/week but divide the dose into

half-week 50mg doses. This should have less affect on E2. After stabilizing on

this schedule for about a month, get " Sensitive Estradiol " test along with Total

T and SBHG.

Also consider new doctor who is competent, will prescribe hCG, and will look at

and treat E2 as needed.

I need to ask you how long after your shot did you do them labs. I do my labs

the day of my next shot but before it. If you did this blood test 4 days after

your shot it is a peak level. I don't think % or Free T or Free T for that

matter means anything it's calullated and your lucky your up there means your

not binding up all your T. And Free T is only 2% of your total T good Dr.'s

don't dose by Free T they dose by Total T.

No if Estradiol was too high it would rise up SHBG and this will bind up Free T

and it would be low.
