Just got back from the Cardiologist. Get to have a nuclear stress test done on

10/14, and an echo on 10/4 leaving with a Holter monitor after that for 24

hours.

On to the other stuff as this is not a 'cardiac' board.

He apologized to me for sending me to that endo, and took her off his referral

list right in front of me.

He could not believe that she considered my T normal at 323, and also mentioned

the low SHBG. Agreed with me fully about the E2 level of 52 also.

Here is where some of you folks will get a laugh,.....guess where I am going

next?

A doc that specializes in sex hormones. He happens to be a gynecologist!!! LOL

This should be a real blast sitting in a waiting room full of women. I am only

going due to the fact that my doc claims he deals with men on these issues all

the time, and I figured what can it hurt at this point. I am on 100% coverage,

and have had my testicles probed and looked at so many times it simply doesn't

faze me anymore. He just recently met this other doctor and was impressed with

him.

Anyway on the E2 issue.

Cardiologist really doesn't want me taking anything until I see the other one,

but actually wrote me a scrip for Arimidex if needed.

I had to press him, but he finally gave in after I told him I would wait to fill

it.

To Barb's credit, the Cardiologist agrees that my FT3 is not optimal by any

means, and we talked about the very real possibility that my adrenals are

compensating. He said that could be what is driving my BP and pulse rate after I

get up in the AM.

He asked me to tell him if I started the AI so he could schedule more blood work

within a few weeks. Suggested dosage was 1/4 pill every 3 days if I decide to

fill it.

Sorry for taking up so much space on this board with my ongoing saga, but this

place has been a huge help. Now I get to start working on my mother, as she goes

to the same Cardiologist as I do. I picked up her blood work for her today. Her

TSH is 3.09 on a scale of .27/4.2 which is way too high IMHO from what I have

learned here. Have to drop it off to her this weekend.
