Guest guest
I draw the test up with a 22 guage needle in a 3cc syringe. It is thick as oil. Then I take another syringe, remove the needle and squirt my dosage from the 1st to the 2nd syringe.I am able to draw up several doses this way and prevents muliple punctures to the rubber stopper on the test vial.I inject with a 27guage,1 1/4 " needle.I am lean so this is long enough. If he is heavy, a 1 1/2 " would be better. If you don't get it in the muscle, absorption is poor in the fat.HCG is thin so I draw up with 27 guage and use it to inject IM.Can do that sub q if you prefer.Just don't inject into the fat.Bacteriostatic water stings while bacteriostatic normal saline is isotonic and doesn't hurt.Lot of different ways to do this but just remember the test is very thick and takes for ever to draw up with a tiny bore needle.Slow enough with the 22 for me. Guest guest
It would be easier to get some BD luer lock syringes with either a 21 or 22g needle. Draw with that and then you can just switch the needle by covering it and twisting it off. I inject IM with a 25g 1 " in the thigh and a 25g 5/8 " in the delts. For HCG it use a 29g 1/2 " 1/2CC insulin syringe. ________________________________ From: phil <phildude43@...> Sent: Sun, June 13, 2010 8:04:28 PM Subject: Re: Syringe/needle size help..........
