Guest guest
I found the best place for my pravachol (statin) was in the trash can.I eat about 75% fat in my diet.Rest protein and trace of carbs. My lipids have never been better. We and the docs have been sold a bill of goods on statins by the drug companies. > > Just to up date people that don't know my story 19 months ago I have Heart Bypass Surgery. On one hand they tell me I need to lose weight and get lots of exercise then they give me this drug take keeps me in pain and from getting enough exercise. So I am going to stop taking this and see if the pain stops if it dose I am not taking it anymore it's not worth it. >
Guest guest
I am on •Doctor's Best - Best Ubiquinol featuring Kaneka's QH (50mg) and my levels came back good on this dose. My Cholesterol Total was 150 range 125 to 200mg/dl. But this is off HGH on HGH it was 118 L. HDL Cholesterol 56 range >or=40mg/dL On HGH 47. Triglycerides 119 range < 150 mg/dL (calc) On HGH 97. LDL Cholesterol 70 range <130 mg/dL (calc) On HGH 53. So Dr. or no Dr. I am stopping this to see if it is why I have this pain and can't exercise. Guest guest
Good decision. I feel heart disease is caused by low testosterone and low thyroid, not a statin deficiency. The saddest observation is that older men who've been on it awhile (my dad, father-in-law, etc.) start doing the " statin shuffle. " They can't even feel their feet anymore because it causes peripheral neuropathy. Barb > > Just to up date people that don't know my story 19 months ago I have Heart Bypass Surgery. Guest guest
That stuff is bad and in my opinion should only be used in extreme cases. I was on Crestor and it gave me the pains and I would have very vivid crazy dreams. ________________________________ From: pmgamer18 <pmgamer18@...> Sent: Sun, June 13, 2010 11:46:32 AM Subject: Statin Side Effects? Just to up date people that don't know my story 19 months ago I have Heart Bypass Surgery. I never had a lab test that show me to have a Cholesterol Problem. When I got out of the Hosp. I was put on Zocor 40 mgs after my surgery I was put out cold for 17 weeks. I lost a lot of muscle. On the dam drug I had sore joints and muscles and my first Chol. blood test came back for Cholesterol Total below the normal range 121 range 125 to 200 mg/dL. So after my complaining they lowered the dose to 20 mgs still I have sore joints and muscles. I am told this is because I was on a coma 17 weeks and need to rebuild my Muscles. So here I am 19 months later going to the gym when ever I can still having pain. Now my hips and legs hurt and my back. I do have a small disk problem in my lower back but I feel my pain is from this Zocor. I have seen a lot of bad things about this drug now I question weather or not this is needed for me and my Heart. I am tired of fighting with the Heart Dr.'s and my family Dr. about this dam drug. On one hand they tell me I need to lose weight and get lots of exercise then they give me this drug take keeps me in pain and from getting enough exercise. So I am going to stop taking this and see if the pain stops if it dose I am not taking it anymore it's not worth it.
Guest guest
Thanks I can't believe all the stuff I am finding that says this is dam bad for us. Even the FDA has a new warning about taking it.
