Guest guest
Did something happen 4 years ago, like hitting your head? If you did, you could have damaged your pituitary, causing all your hormones to then be low. Nobody " just " gains 60 lbs., there has to be a reason. The fact that you have shrunk an inch is alarming because you're only 39. Osteoporosis can be debilitating and disabling--you really need to have a full hormone workup: thyroid levels like Free T3, Free T4, reverse T3, (TSH is useless, especially if you now have a pituitary problem) cortisol levels with a 4x/day saliva test, etc. Getting sick after exercise would indicate low cortisol/low thyroid. BTW, bloodwork " in range " is not necessarily fine. The sick are included in the ranges, so you need to be at least over the halfway mark on most range, sometimes, much higher. I gained a significant amount of fat (approx 60 pounds), and currently weigh 260 lbs (I'm 5-10 " ). I developed all the basic cues for low T: low energy, lack of concentration, low sex drive, etc... I've even shrunk an inch in height. Over the recent years, every time I begin a diet/excercise regime, I get sick after a couple weeks... very frustrating. All my other bloodwork (thyroid, glucose, etc) appears to be fine. > > - O. >
