Guest guest
Don't want to reinvent the wheel here, but can you direct me to anything you have on LDN and migraines? My daughter has very bad migraines and we have not found a solution to it yet. I thought perhaps LDN might offer promise. Thank you. Guest guest
Joanne, I used to suffer from migraines very regularly, but since starting LDN (May 2007), I have had only TWO. One was sinus related the other due to new contact lenses. Coincidence?? Maybe, but I believe LDN stopped my migraines!!! Yet another reason for me to continue LDN. Hope this helps.JanetFrom: Joanne <jo.murphy@...>Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Migraineslow dose naltrexone Date: Thursday, March 4, 2010, 9:37 AM Don't want to reinvent the wheel here, but can you direct me to anything you have on LDN and migraines? Guest guest
Thank you so much for this. I will try it this month. I've already been taking progesterone (bio-identical) but not at those levels.~WOn Sat, Mar 13, 2010 at 11:56 PM, <nana_0357@...> wrote: A chiropractor friend sent me a link to the following e-book. Guest guest
Jane,I used to have horrible migraines. Actually that's how they found out I had Hep C. My migraines stopped within a few weeks of tx starting. Making me think that my migraines were actually from the Hep C. I had never had so much as a headache in my life until I contracted Hep C in 1980. I know you know to make sure your room is dark, light will make not only the migraine worse but the tx can effect your reaction to light as well. I made sure I had blinds under all the curtains and they were always shut and I replaced high wattage light bulbs with softer ones. As far as what meds to take? Norco? That's what I would fall back on when the imitrex stopped working. Guest guest
Now that certainly is an interesting insight!! I hope that you consulted with one of your Drs about this, considering that migraines alone can cause the nausea and vomiting. Of course, nausea and vomiting can cause the migraine as well!!!I'd sure look into a medication that you could take, Jane. Or, just shut the curtains, close the door, leave the lights off and sleep, sleep, sleep.Gloria Anyone have problems with Migraines while on TX? What to take? Guest guest
Jane,I was so sensitive to light of any kind I actually went out and bought bamboo mats, the ones you use at the beach, for a buck a piece at the local Walgreen's and put those up on all the windows in my house under the drapes. No nasty light got into my cave. Funny thing is, all these years later, I still prefer not to see a lot of sunlight.. Still hurts my eyes a bit. Glad I was able to help.... and I had a feeling the migraine was related to your tx in some way. Push Gatorade, I always had an open bottle and a back up next to my bed. I wouldn't be surprised if after tx is over, you don't have a problem with those horrible migraines anymore. I am positive mine were from the Hep C because they started about 5 days after I had that blood transfusion that was tainted and stopped as soon as I started tx. Hang in there and push fluids!Hugs,TeriFrom: Jane <janes6749@...> Sent: Sat, June 26, 2010 9:05:33 AMSubject: Re: [ ] Migraines Teri, The one thing I didn't think about was migraine proofing my room. Guest guest
> > Hi, I just joined. Hope I get relief! I just wondered if maybe my daily migraines might be helped with a candida diet. I have had migraines for 20 years, they are almost daily now. I am at my wits end looking for a solution, not a mask. Any suggestions would be welcomed! +++Hi there. Welcome to our group. What is your name please? Migraines are caused by toxins. But first, you can take the candida questionnaire to see if you have candida: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro3.php There are Four Causes of any Failing Health, including migraines, candida, cancer, organ malfunctions, etc.: 1. Lack of proper nutrition and oxygen. 2. Accumulation of toxins, poisons, and waste. 3. Lowered vitality due to stress, shock, injury, emotional upsets, relationship or financial worries and concerns, etc. 4. Nutritional status inherited from your parents upon conception, which can be corrected by proper nutrition. If you have candida read two important articles so you know what you need to do and why: How to Successfully Overcome Candida: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php Curing Candida, How to Get Started: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php If you do not have candida read Foods That Damage, Foods That Heal http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal13.php For encouragement and inspiration see these wonderful Success Stories by members of this group: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php The best in health, Bee

Guest guest
Hey Group, Was having some issues and went into a specialist and I was diagnosed with a persistant low grad migraine. The doc said I probably have had this for a very long time. I guess I just kind of put up iwith it and thought it was just a part of life until it got really bad the other day when I changed from T3 only to T4/T3 (don't worry, I'm not changing back b/c I think the T3 only set me up for this). He also said that people who get migraines like I do typically are very sensitive to any change in their bodies at all - explains why I react to everything I take. So, he wanted to put me on migraine meds, but I told him I wanted to see the hormones can do for me first. He then said that my migraines could be hormone related, but that he wouldn't know for sure until I got everything dialed in. So, any experiences or advice you guys can give me regarding this? He wants me to use my headaches as a guide to my therapy. Is this smart or not? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks, -- *Mike*

Guest guest
Mike- I am female and have been getting those more lately. For me an ocular migraine is where you see gold/silver lines in your vision.I usually lose some of my vision in spots- I can still see it us very annoying. Sometimes they are short and sometimes they are long. Sometimes I get neurological symptoms of numbness, tingling in my face, arm, fingers usually on one side. The pain can last the whole day or for minutes. I am told these are due to hormone imbalances.. Either low thyroid, low cortisol, low sex hormones. Although I think it can be high of estrogen because my estrone is too high right now. If you find the final answer I would love to know! Guest guest
You may have already seen this, but thought it might be interesting: http://www.migraine101.com/ It does say migraines can be from high estrogen.
