Guest guest
When I travel, all I need is the prescription from the doctor....I take a list of meds I take with me and present it to the agent. That seems to satisfy them. I get it printed out from my doctors office, has her name, address and phone number on it. Bob In a message dated 11/3/2010 10:36:52 A.M. Guest guest
If it's more than 3 oz it can't be in the cabin of the plane. > > Thankfully my Dr. went ahead and prescribed me Androgel as a temporary substitute while I travel. My next question is will I be allowed to carry it on the plane or would it need to be checked? I know it is flammable is why I ask? I do have the box it came in with my name and Dr.s name on it from Walgreens. Thanks in advance for your reply! >
Guest guest
I carry mine on all the time, you just need to declare it at security as long as you have the box with doctors name on it, I have carried it on many times without incidence.  ________________________________ From: miguy1962 <miguy1962@...> Sent: Wed, November 3, 2010 8:25:28 AM Subject: Can I " carry-on " Androgel  Thankfully my Dr. went ahead and prescribed me Androgel as a temporary substitute while I travel. My next question is will I be allowed to carry it on the plane or would it need to be checked? I know it is flammable is why I ask? I do have the box it came in with my name and Dr.s name on it from Walgreens. Thanks in advance for your reply!

Guest guest
As a consultant who was flying every Monday and Thursday for about 5 years, I never had a problem at security for the Androgel. The prescription information was affixed to the box, but I never (not even once) needed to produce it at the security checkpoint. If I had to guess, I'd say that the Androgel doesn't come up on the x-ray machine as a liquid. Happy travels. > > Thankfully my Dr. went ahead and prescribed me Androgel as a temporary substitute while I travel. Guest guest
I fly American and have never had anyone ask or question. Usually fly without the prescription on the box or the box and just take the bottle. > > > From: miguy1962 <_miguy1962@..._ (mailto:miguy1962@...) > > > Subject: Can I " carry-on " Androgel > > _ _ > (mailto: ) > > Date: Wednesday, November 3, 2010, 8:25 AM > > Thankfully my Dr. went ahead and > > prescribed me Androgel as a temporary substitute while I > > travel. Guest guest
My Androgel comes in Packets. If you are at all concerned I would suggest requesting a box (30) of the gel packs and you can just take a few packs for the number of days you'll be gone. > > Thankfully my Dr. went ahead and prescribed me Androgel as a temporary substitute while I travel.
