Mike I am on 30 mgs a day of Cortef HC, I do HGH and just tested my Cortisol

fasting levels after taking my 10 mg. dose of Cortef my Dr. has me do labs this

way so he can tell if I am on to much HC and shutting down my ACTH levels even

more. He feels as long as my levels come back over 5 I am OK most of the time I

am at 12 my first test before going on HC was 9 my last test come in on HGH at

15 so I am good. I don't think going on HGH when your treating Adrenals lowers

your levels.

Mike,

My Pit was damaged in an accident too and I am on GH and HC too.

I take 10 in the morning 10 in the afternoon and another 5 before bed.

I CAN NOT sleep unless I take this at bedtime the few times I forget I will

awake within an hour with terrible legs twitches....

Some people are like this and others CAN NOT take any HC in the evenings or it

will keep them awake....

I did not start on the GH until I had been on the HC for about 6 weeks...at

first I had to dose every 3-4 hours because my body was so depleted and then

gradually I found myslef able to dose just three times a day...

On a side note my husband who is the reason I am on this forum has issues with

his gonads, thyroid and adrenals could NOT stablized his adrenals until he

started on Testosterone...it made a huge difference....So much so that eh had to

almost stop the HC becasue he was geting too much...

It is all very individual and you have to learn to read YOUR BODY AND

SYMPTOMS...Because we are all so different.

Reading this post has got me thinking about my particular case. I don't want to

hijack your thread.

I started getting low T symptoms about 2005. Started with ED. In 2004 I got my

face smashed really bad on concrete. I wonder if this could have been the start

of my problems. Is it possible to be both primary which I'm sure I am and

secondary as well? I have to bring this up with my doc next appt.

I've had alot of face and head trauma over the years. How light of a hit does it

take to mess up the pituitary?

Yes I sleep good for a time when I first went on HGH my sugar was going low at

night so I only took 7.5 mgs in the morning and added the 2.5 at bedtime this

helped keep my sugar levels up. I only needed to do this for 2 weeks.

I've been on T cypionate for 2 months now. My nut is the size of a grape. I

tried hcg with no luck. I only was on it for about 1 month though. I may not

have given it long enough. This is something we'll look into further down the

road, after I get my T & E2 were they should be.

I used to have a pretty good pair. Then i lost one to cancer and now the other

one is almost nonexistant. The only thing worse is getting my schlong caught in

a meat grinder.

Reading Phil's history is also how I was able to get diagnosed correctly. I live

in California and am a patient at The Pituitary

Center at Stanford. My doctor told me that they began to see a lot of pituitary

issues from head injuries on the Vets retruning form combat.

But even with all their " expertise " my doctor does not " believe in

Armour...which he mentions at each visit....fortunately for me I have a

wonderful Endo that treats me with everyting I need...so you just have to be

stubborn and fight to find the right care....and it ain't easy.
