Guest guest
I have been on testosterone non stop since 1994, so 17 years. No prostate problems. Had high hematocrit for 6 months back in 98 and had to have two phlebotomies done. Not sure why the problem went away after that. My blood pressure has always been high normal and I don't think testosterone has made it any worse. I have never had problems with estradiol and gynecomastia. If my total testosterone goes below 500 nanograms, I feel tired and asexual, and can't handle stress very well. I don't know what would happen if I did not start testosterone back then. I am surely happy I have been able to use it this long without lipid, hematocrit, estrogen or prostatic problems. Sent via Blackberry How long have you been doing TRT? How long has everyone been doing TRT? Any health problems arise from it? Would you do it again? I'm just starting and not sure whether I should hold off until later in life or just go for it. (I tried searching, but the server kept giving me an error message.) ------------------------------------
Guest guest
Thanks . That's good news. Guest guest
I have tried cyponate, enanthate, Sustanon, and Nebido injections. Also Testim, Androgel and compounded gels. Experimented with Testopel pellets and also with sublingual testosterone. Loved the pellets and the Nebido (which will be called Aveed when approved in the US). Right now I am on testosterone cypionate 200 mg per week. In my world, sometimes we use Oxandrin or nandrolone, but those two are not testosterone replacement options, just anabolic agents that are used with testosterone to enhance lean mass and energy. Guest guest
Hi, I have only been on TRT since 12-2009. I am on T-Cyp shots. I havent noticed anything but better health since I have been on TRT. I am not 100% yet, but getting better every day. My only regret is that I didnt get started sooner. I am 50 now and I believe I should have been on this when I was 44 or even sooner. My doc at the time I first started noticing symptoms missed it completly. He even said what I was complaining about was typical for a 70 year old man, he completely missed it and didnt do anything. 5 years later a different doc said the exact same thing but I had been educating myself about low T. I insisted he check my T level and that brings me here today. This is great place to get educated about TRT. I know its saved me years of trial and error. Good luck > > How long has everyone been doing TRT? Any health problems arise from it? Would you do it again? Guest guest
I have been on TRT close to 10 years. I started with Androgel packs (one a day); then after 3 or 4 years I developed a skin condition and switched to compounded cream. No health problems, as long as I am able to control my E2 level. On the contrary, quality of life has improved and continues to improve significantly. I am 52 years old. I continue to play softball once a week and I compete against kids half my age or younger (and I still show them a thing or two every week). If you are having issues, my recommendation is to find the right doctor and go for it. No regrets from my end. Good luck! Flaco > > How long has everyone been doing TRT? Guest guest
I have been on TRT for 29 yrs now my story is long you need to read it at this link. http://forums.realthyroidhelp.com/viewtopic.php?f=5 & t=17368 You will see Dr.'s told me when I first got sick I was suffering from Major Depression so for the first 5 yrs I was treated for this never feeling better. After they figured out I have low Testosterone they did not have the reason for it right. So it took me 23 yrs on TRT not feeling 100% to figure out why I am low. I am Secondary it's called Hypopituitary from a head injury. When I got sick in a short time I could not work would I do it over again yes but next time I would do it right. If you need TRT don't hold back from treating this it can shorten your life. Read at the line my Heart problem update.
